The development of modern technologies used in the analysis of customer information allows not only for the collection of past data on buyers’ preferences, but also makes it possible to analyse consumer behaviour on the Internet, online payments, social media and other real-time sources. The aim of the paper is to present the possibilities of using big data in the process of customizing the offer in the context of buyer behaviour. The paper analyses the process of collecting and processing data for the purposes of customizing the offer and identifies practical examples of using big data in the international business practice. It has been stated that the ability to meet the individual needs of buyers has become the basis of modern competitiveness. The real-time acquisition of non-structural data and the ability to analyse it are a condition of successful operation for businesses in technologically developed economies. To build market position, companies need to use big data analysis capabilities, anticipating future customer behaviour and customize not only the product but also all the components of the marketing mix.

The paper focuses on the characteristics of product sales and services online in the automotive business. The study sheds light on product customization and its effect in the eyes of customers, and examines modern tools in marketing communication such as online configurator, online product videos, tutorials for customers, and online chatbots as a possibility of creating a positive experience for different customers. The authors investigated the automotive configurators of two global car producers, Skoda Auto and Opel. Based on the research conducted as an experiment configuring a vehicle by respondents in the Czech Republic, the results show that from the customer’s point of view, the Skoda Auto configurator possesses more comprehensive characteristics in comparison to its competitor, Opel.

W celu umożliwienia prawidłowego doboru tych wymiarów zaproponowano autorską metodykę, w której użyto optycznego skanera 3D do odczytu „informacji ergonomicznej” wprost z użytkownika, a następnie wykorzystanie jej w projektowaniu. Potwierdzono to, wykonując weryfikację zaproponowanej metodyki w tzw. mobilnej kuchni.

The main purpose of the design is to write down the construction of the product or service. In the design of a number of decisions to be taken, and committing even one mistake can result in non-ergonomics product design. In the case of kitchen furniture design, some key functional dimensions are important. Their correct selection for the somatic features of the user makes the kitchen is ergonomic. In the case of kitchen furniture design, some functional dimensions are important, and their correct choice for the somatic features of the user causes the kitchen to be ergonomic. In order to allow for proper selection of these dimensions, an authoritative methodology was proposed, which used a 3D scanner to read „ergonomic information” directly from the user. This individual design method is ideal for designing products for people with special needs. This was confirmed by the verification of the proposed methodology in the so-called Mobile Kitchen. In order to allow for proper selection of these dimensions, an original methodology was proposed, which used a 3D scanner to read „ergonomic information” directly from the furniture user, then use it in engineering design. This individual design method is ideal for designing products for people with disabilities. This was confirmed by the verification of the proposed methodology in the mobile kitchen laboratory.
