The purpose of this article is to present methods that an early childhood education teacher can use in introducing children to the natural world. Attention is paid to children’s activities related to learning about nature: watching, examining, observing and experimenting. Selected classifications of methods for learning about animate and inanimate nature are presented, with attention to methods used in STEAM education, including Design Thinking and EduScrum. Attention is also paid to methods that shape ecological attitudes and specific methods of teaching in the „nature corner.”

Celem artykułu jest zaprezentowanie metod, które nauczyciel wczesnej edukacji może stosować w przybliżaniu dzieciom świata przyrody.Wyeksponowane zostały czynności dzieci, które służą poznawaniu przyrody: oglądanie, badanie, obserwowanie oraz eksperymentowanie. Przedstawiono wybrane klasyfikacje metod poznawania przyrody ożywionej i nieożywionej, w tym także metody stosowane w edukacji STEAM, między innymi Design Thinking czy EduScrum. Zwrócono uwagę także na metody kształtujące postawy ekologiczne oraz specyficzne metody prowadzenia zajęć w „kąciku przyrody”.
