Niniejszy artykuł dotyczy problematyki restrukturyzacji przedsiębiorstw i udzielania pomocy publicznej w tym zakresie przez państwo. Głównym celem było poprawne zdefiniowane procesu restrukturyzacji i określenie jego zakresu. Wciąż duża liczba bankructw oraz ogłaszanych upadłości przedsiębiorstw dowodzi skali problemu i powoduje, że zarządzający firmami, często również ich współwłaściciele, stają przed wyborem pokrywania dalszych strat przedsiębiorstwa lub podjęcia decyzji o zakończeniu prowadzonej działalności Tymczasem w sytuacji, kiedy dany model biznesowy nie sprawdza się lub występują błędy w zarządzaniu firmą, możliwe czasami jest rozpoczęcie procesu restrukturyzacji. Działanie, przed którym niepotrzebnie wielu przedsiębiorców się broni i odsuwa go w czasie, obawiając się rozmiarów i skali zmian w firmie po jego wprowadzeniu. Autor podjął się zadania wykazania, że pomoc państwa w ramach funduszu restrukturyzacji jest niewystarczająca w stosunku do skali zjawiska upadłości przedsiębiorstw w Polsce. Dodatkowo została przeanalizowana korelacja pomiędzy wartością udzielonej pomocy publicznej a liczbą upadłości przedsiębiorstw oraz wskaźnikiem ich przeżycia.

This paper deals with the issues of restructuring of enterprises and the provision of aid in this regard by the state. The main objective was to correct defined the restructuring process and to define its scope. Still a large number of bankruptcies and the announced bankruptcy of enterprises demonstrates the scale of the problem and makes managing companies often also the co-owners, faced with a choice of covering further loss of business or decide to terminate its operations Meanwhile, in a situation where the business model does not work or has errors in the management of the company, it is sometimes possible to start the process of restructuring. Action against which unnecessarily many entrepreneurs weapons and moves it in time, fearing the size and scale of the changes in the company after its introduction. The author undertook the task of demonstrating that the State aid under the restructuring fund is insufficient in relation to the scale of bankrupt enterprises in Poland. In addition, it was analyzed the correlation between the value of state aid granted and the number of corporate bankruptcies and an indicator of survival.
