The subject of this article is an attempt at a new (different) and practical look at the introduced Civil Code changes regarding the renunciation of inheritance in favour of another person, in the context of the possibility of formulating specific contractual provisions regulating this issue, using a do-gmatic analysis of the introduced regulation, but also the historical method. The aim of this work is to attempt to answer the question whether, formulated on the basis of art. 1048 § 3 civil code contractual provisions can be more widely used in notarial practice, or identifying risks areas rela-ted to their application, as well as formulating conclusions regarding the need to correct this legal institution.
