Yugoslavia is a term describes a four political entities that existed successively on the Balkan Penisula in Europe, during most of the 20 century. The first country was be known by this names was the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, which before October 1929 was known as Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes. The second country with this name was the Democratic Federal Yugoslavia, proclaimed in 1943. In 1963 it was renamed to the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. The constituent six republics and two autonomous provinces. The last country to bear the name was the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia established in April 1992. It was federation on the territory of two remaining republics of Serbia and Montenegro. On February 2003, it was renamed to the States Union of Serbia and Montenegro, and officially abolished the name Yugoslavia. On June 2006 respectively Montenegro and Serbia declared independence, thereby ending the Yugoslave state.
