The paper explores the issue of competitiveness in the field of tourism. Assuming an economic perspective and basing on a discussion of the issue with respect to tourist destinations, the paper looks at this type of analysis in the field of the geography of tourism. The paper utilizes systems analysis to create a competitiveness research model for multifunctional tourist destinations, which factors in a spectrum of determinants driving local tourist development.

In some periods of development (transition from late childhood to adolescence and from early to late adolescence), apart from individual changes, an individual experiences additional developmental pressure connected with graduating from primary and starting a middle school which requires adaptation to the new educational and school friend environment and sometimes psychical processes and functioning restructuring. Due to that, the research model and the discussed changes occurring in that period may not only help to better understand the phenomenon of readiness for aggression, acting like and maintaining the role of a victim or a perpetrator of the aggressive behaviors, but also indicate other processes connected with the forming identity (volitional processes, satisfaction of own needs, activating reflexivity, etc.).

In the article the methodology of comparative analysis of public school teachers’ continuing professional development (CPD) in Great Britain, Canada and the USA has been presented. The main objectives are defined as theoretical analysis of scientific and pedagogical literature, which highlights different aspects of the problem under research; characteristic of the research methodology, used to conduct the comparative analysis. Their major components of the research model (parametric-determining, conceptual and analytical, integrating-analytical and differentiating-analytical, prognostic component) have been defined and specified. Public school teachers’ CPD has been studied by foreign and domestic scientists: political, social, cultural and economic aspects of teachers’ CPD (L. Darling-Hammond, M. Tight); CPD programs (C. Pratt); CPD content (N. Dana Fichtman, M. Rees, A. Ross, S. Zepeda); CPD models, methods and forms (K. Duinlan, P. Grimmet, G. Troia, P. Wong); continuous professional education (Ya. Belmaz, A. Kuzminskyy, O. Kuznyetsova). The research methodology comprises theoretical (comparative-historical, logical, induction and deduction, comparison and compatibility, structural and systematic, analysis and synthesis, general scientific and interdisciplinary forecasting methods), and applied (observations, questioning and interviewing) methods. The research results have been presented.

Artykuł zmierza do wyznaczenia modelu badania podmiotowej sfery kultury współczesnej. Dla ustalenia podstaw metodologicznych modelu zostały wykorzystane, zaprezentowane, porównywane, a nawet krytycznie ocenione ważniejsze teorie człowieka (biologistyczna, personalizm liberalistyczny i relacjonistyczny, personalizm tomistyczny – metafizyczny, wojtylański w ramach tzw. antropologii adekwatnej i trynitarny). Celem owej konfrontacji jest wybór teorii ujmującej ontologiczną i aksjologiczną głębię człowieka w sposób zupełny, teorii, która byłaby zarazem zdolna objąć procedurą badawczą wszelkie możliwe wersje podmiotu w różnych sferach kultury współczesnej (w nauce, nurtach ideowych, twórczości). Chodzi o to, aby żaden wariant kulturowego podmiotu nie znalazł się poza badawczym zasięgiem modelu. W największym stopniu warunki te spełnia personalizm trynitarny. Inne teorie i personalizmy w badawczej diagnozie wielorakich podmiotów kultury współczesnej mogą okazać się niewystarczające. Teoria Trójcy Świętej jako podstawa modelu traktowana jest w artykule niekonfesyjnie, wyłącznie w zastosowaniu do metodologii badań osoby ludzkiej.

The aim of this paper is to establish a model for researching the subjective sphere of contemporary culture. In order to establish the methodological foundations of the model, some of the most important theories of man (biologistic, liberal and relationalistic personalism, Thomistic and metaphysical personalism, as well as Wojtyla within the so-called ”adequate anthropology” and Trinitarian personalism) have been used, presented, compared, and even critically evaluated. The aim of this confrontation is to choose a theory that fully grasps the ontological and axiological depth of man, a theory that could also encompass the research procedure with all the possible versions of the subject in various spheres of contemporary culture: science, ideological trends, and creativity. The point is that no variant of the cultural subject should fall outside the research range of the model. These conditions are met to the greatest extent by Trinitarian personalism. Other theories and personalisms in the research diagnosis of multiple subjects of contemporary culture may turn out to be ANALIZY I INTERPRETACJE 29 Model badania podmiotowej sfery kultury współczesnej insufficient.
