The article presents results of first radiocarbon analyses carried out for samples obtained from the Linear Pottery Culture settlement on site 6 in Tominy, Opatów district. Presented radiocarbon dates highly enrich current database of chronometric markings relating to the early Neolithic in the Sandomierz Upland and its northern foreland. Together with data on stylistic and typological differentiation of the vascular pottery, seem to reveal a specific course of development of local groups of the Linear Pottery Culture, which is characterized by particularly long term functioning of the music note ornamental traditions, as well as their late, little intense and retarded coexistence with the early-Želiezovce stylistic influences. These data are also a quite significant contribution both to the discussion on the overall time range of the Linear Pottery Culture, as well as the nature and course of the final stage of its development in the upper basin of the Vistula River

Alicja Mazan-Mazurkiewicz’s aim in this article is to show the richness and variety of poetical implementations of culinary themes in children’s poetry as represented by Joanna Kulmowa, Joanna Papuzińska, Zofia Beszczyńska, and Agnieszka Kuciak. Mazan-Mazurkiewicz wants to emphasise how a topic that is close to the child and somehow obvious makes it possible for the receiver to be themselves poetically creative and offers them an aesthetic experience as well as an initiation (often unconscious) into the processes of artistic creation, involving humour, metaphor, synaesthesia, and retardation.

Strategy of retardation in the narrative perspective Retardation is represented as one of the ways of deploying the plot of artistic text through the introduction of additional descriptions, characters, references to historical events and other important clarifiers. Such additional elements break the linearity of the narrative, estranging the climax moment and realizing the effect of emotional stress, waiting for an outcome. Retardation is considered as a phenomenon primarily compositional, since additional information may relate to a subjective, a predicate, application or circumstance that violates the extremely clear structure of the French sentence. Retardation is amplified, among other things, by such stylistic figures as a repORBIS etition and anaphora. Furthermore, additional information in the text is highlighted by punctuation marks: commas, dashes, parentheses, which correspond to a narrative with inserted episodes.

When René Girard applied his discovery about the role of mimesis in human social life to analyse the origin of culture and religion, he tackled Freud an Lévi‑Strauss for placing sexual relations rather than the sacrificial solution of rivalries at the centre. In so doing he ignored the role of gender in the sacrificial schemes by stressing that rivalries indiscriminately affect both genders. With the help of studies by Levinas and Kristeva, of some anthropological discoveries, and an alternative reading of the biblical trajectory from Genesis to the Book of Revelation, the article tries to show how Girard’s mimetic theory can both uphold gender neutrality and advance a Christian feminist option.
