Artykuł ma na celu przedstawienie problematyki ryzyka wewnętrznego, związanego z rutynowym funkcjonowaniem organizacji w perspektywie socjologicznej. Zidentyfikowano dwa główne źródła takiego ryzyka: strukturę oraz kulturę organizacji, oraz poddano szczegółowej analizie ryzyko wynikające z zakłóceń informacyjnych, rozproszenia odpowiedzialności oraz zaniku czujności. Przedstawione zostały również propozycje odnośnie co do metod ograniczenia opisanego ryzyka.

This paper, from a sociological perspective, examines internal risks associated with normal organizational operations. Two major risk areas are identified: structure and culture of an organization. Information difficulties, diffusion of responsibility and atrophy of vigilance are discussed as potential sources of organizational risk. Countermeasures to mitigate such risks are also presented.
