The Bronze Age socketed hammer was discovered on the hill nearby Košecké Podhradie. It belongs to the Bronze Age socketed hammers occurring between Bz C and Ha B1 in Europe and evidencing the developed bronze production in the regions of their distribution, thus supposedly also in the micro-region around Košecké Podhradie. Regarding its shape, weight and composition of metal (investigated by XRF spectrometry) of that it was made, the artefact belongs to the middle heavy hammering tools used for the dressing and finalization of the metal artefacts made of metal sheets.
