he Kazakh archives store documents of various provenance, concerning deportations of people of various nationalities, carried out in the Stalinist era, including the Polish population. The researcher focused on the classification and characteristics of these sources, indicating, among others, where they are stored and their substantive content, or by sharing methodological comments. As the author notes, the subject matter discussed by her, especially in recent years, has undergone an evolution. For a long time it was influenced negatively by political and ideological conditions. As a result, a large part of the work already done needs to be rethought, many past assessments need to be revised, based on both already known and new archival materials.

W archiwach kazachstańskich przechowywane są dokumenty rozmaitej proweniencji, dotyczące deportacji osób różnych narodowości, a prowadzonych w czasach stalinowskich – w tym ludności polskiej. Badaczka skupiła się na klasyfikacji i charakterystyce tych źródeł, wskazując m.in. miejsca ich przechowywania i zawartość merytoryczną czy też dzieląc się uwagami metodologicznymi. Jak zauważa autorka, omawiana przez nią tematyka zwłaszcza w ostatnich latach przeszła ewolucję. Długo wpływały na nią – negatywnie – uwarunkowania polityczne i ideologiczne. W efekcie duża część wykonanej już pracy wymaga ponownego przemyślenia, wiele ocen z przeszłości należy zrewidować, opierając się zarówno na już znanych, jak i nowych materiałach archiwalnych.
