Artykuł jest próbą analizy treści nadruków na ubraniach sprzedawanych przez sklepy z odzieżą chrześcijańską – głównie T-shirtach, ale także w mniejszym stopniu na pełniących podobną funkcję bluzach, koszulkach, czapkach, sukienkach itp. W centrum zainteresowania autora pozostaje odwoływanie się przez twórców koszulek, z jednej strony, do cytatów z Pisma Świętego, fragmentów modlitw, papieskich kazań, zawołań i pozdrowień zakonów i zgromadzeń, z drugiej zaś do języka charakterystycznego dla subkultur młodzieżowych, potocznej odmiany polszczyzny, anglicyzmów oraz kultury popularnej.

The article is an attempt at analyzing the clothes produced by Christian clothing stores, mainly T-shirts, but also to—a lesser degree—sweatshirts, shirts, hats, dresses, etc. T-shirt manufacturers refers on the one hand to the Holy Scriptures, prayers fragments, papal sermons, vocations and greetings of religious orders and assemblies, and on the other hand to the language characteristic for youth subcultures, colloquial language, Anglicism and popular culture.

The article is concerned with the unusual prayer book entitled ‘’A text message to God, a prayer book for people who have little time”. The author treats it as a genre in a collection form, because it has a title, an introduction and a specific composition. This prayer book consists of blocks of statements which form micro-collections, composed on the principle of analogy. It differs from traditional prayer books that are collections of various genres. The new form does not mean a departure from traditional religious style principles. The author of the prayer book cites the Bible, uses archaisms (syntactic and lexical ones), set metaphors and specialized lexis. The prayer book implements the principle of combining tradition and modernity in contemporary Polish religious discourse in the original way
