The article presents the new document of the Commission “Faith and Order” of the World Council of Churches, which was released under the title The Church: Towards a Common Vision. The document is declared to be an ecumenical agreement of high importance. In the first chapter works have been displayed which preceded the document, the second point highlights its structure and the last one scrutinizes its important contents. Author focuses on the trinity nature of Church and its unity, on the unity of Christians which has been considered both as a gift of the Triune God and a task for Christians, on the teaching on Church as the sacrament of salvation, on the Church’s concern for creation, on the social and political aspects of Church’s involvement in the world, on the broad Church’s relation toward the world, on the issue on continuity and change of the Church and finally, on the process of ministry reconciliation. A short assessment of the document is provided as a conclusion.

Artykuł prezentuje nowy dokument wypracowany w Komisji „Wiara i Ustrój” Światowej Rady Kościołów The Church: Towards a Common Vision, który w języku polskim opublikowano pt. Ku wspólnej wizji Kościoła. Dokument ma wysoką rangę ekumenicznego uzgodnienia. W punkcie pierwszym wspomniane zostają omawia opracowania poprzedzające dokument, punkt drugi wprowadza w jego strukturę, natomiast w punkcie trzecim analizie poddano wybrane istotne treści uzgodnienia. Skoncentrowano się na trynitarnym charakterze Kościoła i jego jedności, jedności Kościoła jako daru Trójjedynego Boga i zadaniu dla chrześcijan, Kościele jako sakramencie zbawienia, trosce Kościoła o los stworzenia, społeczno-politycznych aspektach zaangażowania Kościoła w świecie, szeroko rozumianym stosunku Kościoła do świata, zagadnieniu ciągłości i zmiany w Kościele oraz na procesie pojednania posługiwań. Ostatnia część zawiera próbę krótkiej oceny.
