W artykule skoncentrowano się na charakterystyce zawodu nauczyciela z punktu widzenia gwarantującego w nim sukces, pożądanego natężenia/typu wybranych różnic indywidualnych – osobowości zawodowej, inteligencji emocjonalnej i kompetencji społecznych. Na tle teorii zaprezentowano wyniki badań własnych, odnoszących się do rzeczonych charakterystyk studentów pedagogiki. Interpretacja uzyskanych danych umożliwia postawienie pogłębionej diagnozy w omawianym zakresie oraz sformułowanie prognozy dalszego funkcjonowanie osób badanych i wniosków dotyczących potencjalnych modyfikacji systemu kształcenia nauczycieli.

The article focuses on the characteristics of the teaching profession from the point of view of ensuring its success, the desired intensity/type of selected individual differences - vocational personality, emotional intelligence and social competences. On the background of the theory, results of the study relating to the mentioned characteristics of pedagogy students have been presented. Interpretation of the gathered data enables creating an in-depth diagnosis in this field and formulating prognosis of further functioning of the study subjects and also – putting proposals on potential modifications of the teacher education system.

The starting point and at the same time the axis of the considerations presented in the article was the introduction of the teacher-student relationship - the impulse to undertake them was the assumptions of hermeneutic pedagogy, whose specific branch, focused on the process of understanding the senses and meanings of what happens between the student and the educator, was referenced to this key relationship for the school microsystem. Then, in reference to the category of „meeting” of the teacher and the student, the issue of vocational fit was presented, which was shown from the point of view of the psychological (personalistic) approach in pedeutology, taking into account the specific catalog of duties of the older of the participants of this dyad in relation to the younger of them – it was emphasized that only a teacher optimally suited to the profession will be able to create such conditions for his students, that will enable them to achieve self-knowledge and form a cultural personality in terms of hermeneutic (humanistic) pedagogy. In the next part of the article, the vocational fit of teachers was shown in reference to John L. Holland’s Theory of Career Choice (the Theory of Vocational Personality) and the Five Factor Theory of Personality of Paul T. Costa and Robert R. McCrae - it also quoted the results of empirical analyzes relating to this issue, and in reference to assumptions of hermeneutic pedagogy, an attempt was made to interpret them in a different way than before, taking into account the look at the problem from a new perspective.

Celem artykułu jest prezentacja wyników badania związku osobowości zawodowej z zadowoleniem z pracy w centrach usług księgowych. Zgodnie z teorią J.L. Hollanda niedopasowanie osobowości zawodowej do środowiska pracy powoduje niezadowolenie z pracy. Środowisko pracy w centrum usług księgowych ma charakter konwencjonalny. W celu odpowiedzi na pytanie badawcze, czy osobowość zawodowa ma związek z zadowoleniem z pracy w centrum usług księgowych najpierw zbadano osobowość zawodową 23 pracowników takiego centrum z Łodzi. Następnie spośród badanych wybrano cztery osoby (dwie o konwencjonalnym typie osobowości zawodowej i dwie niekonwencjonalne) i przeprowadzono z nimi wywiady, w których pytano o satysfakcję z wykonywanej pracy. W przypadku trzech spośród tych czterech osób okazało się, że dopasowanie osobowości zawodowej i środowiska pracy ma związek z zadowoleniem z pracy. Badanie zaprezentowane w artykule ma charakter nowatorski.

The aim of the paper is presentation of the results of research on the relationship between vocational personality and job satisfaction in an accounting services center. According to J.L. Holland’s theory incongruity between vocational personality and work environment leads to job dissatisfaction. Work environment in an accounting services center is conventional. In order to answer the research question if vocational personality is correlated with job satisfaction in an accounting services center, personality of 23 employees of such a center was examined. Then four employees were chosen (two of conventional personality and two of unconventional) and asked about job satisfaction. In the case of three of them vocational personality was related with job satisfaction. The research presented in the paper is innovative.

W artykule dokonano przeglądu wybranych czynników mających wpływ na efektywność pracy w zawodzie nauczyciela– w świetle teorii pedagogicznej i psychologicznej pozostające w ścisłej, wzajemnej relacji osobowość zawodowa, inteligencja emocjonalna i kompetencje społeczne należą do szerokiej grupy determinant sukcesu w tej profesji. Omówione konstrukty łączy ponadto przynależność do grupy czynników plastycznych, które poprzez zastosowanie właściwych metod mogą być rozwijane, podlegać zmianom.

The article reviews selected factors that affect the efficiency in the teaching profession– in the light of both pedagogical and psychological theories vocational personality, emotional intelligence and social competences, which remain in close and mutual relations, are among the broad determinants of success in this profession. Furthermore, the discussed constructs are linked by belonging to the group of plastic factors, which can be developed or changed through the use of appropriate methods.
