Zjawisko społeczne, jakim jest emigracja zarobkowa Polaków, stało się istotną formą społecznej aktywności. Młodzi ludzie, szukając możliwości zatrudnienia za godziwe wynagrodzenie poza granicami naszego kraju, migrują do różnych państw świata. Jednym z najbardziej popularnych miejsc wyjazdów młodzieży w celach zarobkowych jest Wielka Brytania. Kontakt Brytyjczyków z Polakami wpływa istotnie na opinie na temat Polski i Polaków, przyczyniając się jednocześnie do wzrostu wyjazdów turystycznych Brytyjczyków do Polski. W pracy przedstawiono wyniki badań własnych na temat związku pomiędzy wzrostem emigracji Polaków do Wielkiej Brytanii, wiedzą Brytyjczyków na temat Polski i turystyką przyjazdową do naszego kraju.

The social phenomenon, which is the emigration of Poles, has become an important form of social activity. Young people seeking employment opportunities for decent wages beyond the borders of our country, migrate to different countries of the world. One of the most popular places where young people travel for work is the United Kingdom. The relationship between Britons and Poles affects the opinion of Poland and Polish people, while contributing to the growth of the British tourist trips to Polish. The paper presents results of research on the relationship between the increase of emigration of Poles to Britain, the knowledge of British people about the Poles and inbound tourism to our country
