The article considers the essentials behind a reasonable model of split payment. To properly analyse the issue in question, the criteria and legal features of reasonability/rationality are evoked. Special focus is on the model’s Polish version, based whereupon its voluntary aspect is compared against the compulsory option. The article is based on a forthcoming monograph on the legal issues regarding the split payment mechanism (publisher: C.H. Beck).

W artykule autor prowadzi rozważania nad istotą racjonalnego modelu podzielonej płatności. W celu właściwej analizy omawianego zagadnienia, w treści tekstu przywołane zostają kryteria racjonalności razem z jej cechami prawnymi. Autor zwraca szczególną uwagę na rozwiązanie dotyczące polskiej wersji modelu podzielonej płatności, na podstawie której porównuje aspekt jej dobrowolności z rozwiązaniem o charakterze obowiązkowym. Artykuł powstał na podstawie monografii „Mechanizm podzielonej płatności. Problematyka prawna”, która ukaże się nakładem Wydawnictwa C.H. Beck.
