Coaching jest niedyrektywnym procesem wspierającym osobę w jej rozwoju oraz osiąganiu celów. Opiera się na założeniu, iż osoba ta posiada wszelkie zasoby, umiejętności i kompetencje niezbędne, aby osiągnąć sukces, należy tylko ułatwić jej ich wykorzystanie. Kierującym procesem od strony technicznej jest coach, który ma za zadanie wspierać klienta w osiągnięciu wybranego przez niego celu, zmiany. Z tego względu stosuje on liczne pytania oraz zadania, nigdy nie sugeruje jednak rozwiązania, a tym bardziej nie wskazuje na nie, nie namawia, ani nie zmusza klienta do niczego. Osobą odpowiedzialną za realizację ustalonych działań jest sam klient. Coaching z powodzeniem stosowany jest w wielu obszarach życia zarówno zawodowego, jak i osobistego. Jednocześnie wykorzystanie go w jednej sferze, powoduje pozytywne skutki również na pozostałych płaszczyznach życia osoby.

Coaching is a non-directive process that supports a person in his or her development and achievement of goals. It is based on the assumption that this person has all the resources, skills and competences necessary to achieve success, it is only needed to facilitate their use. A person that technically guides the process is the coach. His objective is to support the client in achieving the chosen goal, change. For this reason, he uses numerous questions and tasks, but never suggests any solution, and even more so he does not point to them, persuade or force the client to do anything. The person responsible for the implementation of the agreed activities is the client himself. Coaching is successfully used in many areas of both professional and personal life. At the same time, using it in one sphere also causes positive effects on other levels of the person's life.
