The observance of human rights in the People's Republic of China is controversial, and for many years in the public debate there have been reports of violations of the rights of ethnic minorities, in particularly the rights of the Uighurs. The reason for this is the Uyghur-Chinese conflict, which has become one of the factors in the increased repression against the minority in question. Consequently, the current situation of the Uighurs in Xinjiang causes consternation in the international community, which seeks to validate its concerns about the hallmarks of genocide through international law.

Przestrzeganie praw człowieka w Chińskiej Republice Ludowej budzi wiele kontrowersji, od wielu lat w debacie publicznej pojawiają się doniesienia o łamaniu praw mniejszości etnicznych, w szczególności ujgurskiej. Przyczyną takiego stanu rzeczy jest konflikt ujgursko-chiński, który stał się jednym z czynników nasilonej represji wobec omawianej mniejszości. W konsekwencji obecna sytuacja Ujgurów w Xinjiangu wywołuje konsternację wśród społeczności międzynarodowej, która szuka potwierdzenia swoich obaw dotyczących znamion ludobójstwa za pomocą prawa międzynarodowego.

The current political and economic situation of the People’s Republic of China makes it worth looking at the sexual freedom of the Chinese people. The model of sexual behavior largely depends on the contemporary demographic imbalance in China; therefore, it seems important to discuss this issue. The article analyzes the history of the sexual revolution, its consequences, and is an attempt to present the values and norms that directly affect contemporary social problems related to accessto sex education and the observance of homosexual rights in the People’s Republic of China.

Obecna polityczna i gospodarcza pozycja Chińskiej Republiki Ludowej powoduje, że warto przyjrzeć się wolności seksualnej Chińczyków. Model zachowań seksualnych zależy bardzo mocno od współczesnego zachwiania demograficznego Państwa Środka, zatem rzeczą istotną wydaje się być omówienie tej problematyki. Niniejszy artykuł analizuje historię rewolucji seksualnej, jej konsekwencje, a także podejmuje próbę przedstawienia wartości i norm, które w sposób bezpośredni wpływają na współczesne problemy społeczne związane z dostępem do edukacji seksualnej i przestrzeganiem praw osób homoseksualnych w Chińskiej Republice Ludowej.

W niniejszym artykule dokonana została analiza działań Unii Europejskiej (UE) w kontekście przestrzegania praw kobiet ze szczególnym uwzględnianiem sytuacji w Afganistanie. Po obaleniu reżimu talibów w 2001, UE aktywnie nawiązała współpracę z Afganistanem, skupiając się na dostarczeniu pomocy humanitarnej, wspieraniu procesów rozwojowych, demokratyzacji oraz promowaniu praw człowieka. Przez lata Unia Europejska pełniła istotną rolę jako główny donator pomocy finansowej dla Afganistanu w kontekście praw kobiet i dziewcząt, inwestując w obszary takie jak edukacja, ochrona zdrowia, polityka oraz gospodarka. Artykuł przeprowadza szczegółową analizę programów i decyzji podejmowanych przez UE, mających na celu wsparcie kobiet w Afganistanie. Dodatkowo, opiera się na długoterminowej perspektywie, przyglądając się prawom kobiet w kontekście zmieniającej się sytuacji politycznej, uwzględniając rolę Unii Europejskiej w tym procesie.

In this article, an analysis has been conducted of the European Union’s (EU) actions in the context of women’s rights, with a particular focus on the situation in Afghanistan. Following the overthrow of the Taliban regime in 2001, the EU actively engaged with Afghanistan, prioritizing the delivery of humanitarian aid, supporting development processes, democratization, and the promotion of human rights. Over the years, the European Union played a significant role as the main financial donor to Afghanistan concerning women’s and girls’ rights, investing in areas such as education, healthcare, politics, and the economy. The article provides a detailed analysis of the programs and decisions undertaken by the EU to support women in Afghanistan. Additionally, it is based on a long-term perspective, looking at women’s rights in the context of changing political situation, taking into account the role of the European Union in this process.
