Changes in the employment structure according to sectors of the FRG’s economy finding their expression in growth of the work force in the sector of services have provided an inspiration for the author to study the problem of transfoimations in the employment structure with in this sector. The present article is a result of these interests. There are analyzed here the directions of transformations in the employment structure, with the basis for evaluation being the sector's classification in its subsectorial and functional approach. Moreover, a little more attention has been devoted to some subsectors such as the public and the proper services subsectors . The reason for such an approach was a high dynamics of employment in the public subsector and highly differentiated character of the proper services subsector. This analysis has been supplemented by remarks concerning changes in the occupational structure of employment in the sector of services and in the entire FGR’s economy. It has al lowed for more comprehensive evaluation of directions and trends of changes in the labour market.
In the economic literature of the last few years there can be observed a considerable rise of interest in structural transformations. This interest was reflected in numerous theoretical works making an attempt at formulation of the structural changes theory as well as in many research reports aiming at empirical analysis of the economic growth causalities. In the present strategy of socio-economic development acceleratiom of structural transformations represents one of its crucial elements necessitated by a tendency towards further modernization of our economy's structure. Hence, there arises a need for determination and utilization of factors producing changes in the economic structure. This work is an attempt at presentation of the most important factors which, in the author’s opinion, generate structural changes. It, moreover, sets forward to provide a review of the most important opinions on the subject — mainly of Polish economists. It consists of three parts. The first part shows a correlation between the economic growth and structural transformations; in the second part the author formulated the concept ol the structure and classified economic structures; and finally in the third part there are described and analyzed factors producing structural changes.
Tlie article analyzes causes of enhanced interest in the structural policy in the FRG in, the eighties and it presents a conception of an active structural policy in the market economy. The main object of deliberations are the notion and scope of an active structural policy as perceived by the West German economic thought, its main goals and types. It has been pointed out that the structural policy is an independent activity of the state differing from remaining kinds of its activity, which is pursued within the framework of the market economy. The last- -mentioned lactor determines the character of intervention. Its task is to shape economic structures and solve structural problems. It reveals, however, numerous relationships with the remaining kinds of intervention of the state in the economy. The author analyzes also the structural policy of growth-promoting and stabilization character, sectoral and regional structural policy, and the structural policy aiming at: preservation of structures, change of structures, and control of economic structures
W światowej gospodarce zachodzą istotne przekształcenia w strukturze zasobów pracy, które w perspektywie najbliższych lat nasilą się jeszcze bardziej. Artykuł poświęcony jest wybranym problemom z tego zakresu i składa się z trzech części merytorycznych. W pierwszej przedstawiono determinanty zmian na globalnym rynku pracy jako rezultat megatrendów (deagraryzacja, serwicyzacja). Druga poświęcona jest konsekwencjom zmian na rynku pracy wynikającym z kryzysu finansowego w latach 2007–2009. Trzecia cześć dotyczy skutków zmian na rynku pracy jako wyniku przedstawionych wcześniej czynników.

In the global economy there are significant transitions in the structure of labour market, which in the nearest future will deepen. The article describes particular problems concerning this aspect and consists of 3 meritorical parts. The first one describes determinants of changes in the global labour market as a result of mega-trends. The second part concerns changes on the labour market, which result from financial crisis of 2007–2008. The third part describes effects of changes on labour market as a result of mentioned factors.
