The aim of this article is to describe and organize the values of truth, goodness and beauty in the context of new media. The communication revolution of recent years, called the Revolution Web. 2.0, brought significant qualitative changes in human life. The universal values of truth, goodness and beauty are present in European culture since the time of Plato, however, they are still being rediscovered. They appear in new forms that have never been known before. The reality of smartphones, mobile Internet and social media has become the basis of social communication. The functioning of fundamental values in it seems particularly difficult and important. This article is characterized by a critical and skeptical attitude towards the subject, which aims to highlight the imperfections and threats of the „brave new world”. The final word is a brief reflection on the challenges of the future and the importance of developing the Key Competences of the 21st century.

Artykuł ma za zadanie opisać i uporządkować triadę wartości prawdy, dobra i piękna w kontekście nowych mediów. Rewolucja komunikacyjna ostatnich lat, nazywana rewolucją Web 2.0, przyniosła znaczące zmiany jakościowe w życiu człowieka. Pomimo, że uniwersalne wartości triady greckiej obecne są w kulturze europejskiej od czasów Platona, wciąż odkrywamy je na nowo. Przybierają wciąż nowe, nieznane dotąd formy. W rzeczywistości, w której podstawą komunikacji społecznej stały się smartfony, mobilny Internet oraz portale społecznościowe, funkcjonowanie fundamentalnych wartości wydaje się szczególnie trudne i ważne. W niniejszych rozważaniach przyjęta została postawa krytyczna i sceptyczna, której celem jest uwypuklić niedoskonałości i zagrożenia „nowego wspaniałego świata”. Zakończenie stanowi krótka refleksja odnośnie wyzwań przyszłości i rozwijania kompetencji XXI wieku.
