W artykule przedstawiono przykład zastosowania wielowymiarowych metod statystycznych do oceny możliwości produkcji mleka w poszczególnych regionach Ukrainy. Dokonując analizy zmienności oraz macierzy współczynników korelacji do ostatecznych obliczeń wybrano cztery zmienne charakteryzujące omawiany problem. W pracy zastosowano trzy metody umożliwiające wielowymiarową analizę statystyczną, tj.: metodę Hellwiga, metodę średniej arytmetycznej oraz diagram Czekanowskiego. Należy stwierdzić, że Ukraina jako kraj, który w przyszłości ma zamiar wstąpić do Unii Europejskiej może mieć istotny wpływ na rynek mleka, ze względu na swój potencjału produkcyjny.

In the article it is presented example of using multivariate statistical methods in purpose to assess capacity and possibilities of milk production in Ukrainian regions. With use of variability analysis and matrix of correlation coefficients there were chosen explanatory variables. In the article there were presented the following multivariate statistical methods as Hellwig method, method of middle average and Czekanowski diagram. In the conclusions it was defined the regions with the biggest and the smallest production capabilities.
