Technické vzdelávanie zohráva dôležitú úlohu vo výchove človeka, v jeho príprave na ďalšie povolanie aj na bežný život. V poslednom období však pozorujeme pokrivkávanie záujmu žiakov základných škôl o technické vzdelávanie. Preto sme sa na katedre techniky a informačných technológií prostredníctvom technickej olympiády zvýšiť záujem a spopularizovať technické vzdelávanie. Článok zachytáva aktuálnu situáciu s jej organizáciou a prípravou v priebehu uplynulých troch ročníkov.

Technical education plays important role in the education fo man, in his preparation for future proffesion and for daily life. Recently, however, we observe the reduction of elementary schools interest in technical education. Therefore the Department of Technology and Information Technologies decided to increase the interest and popularize technical educationa viac Technical Olympiad. The article is focused on actual situation with its organization and preparation within the last three grades.

Na Katedre techniky a informačných technológií PF UKF v Nitre prebiehal výskum pre zisťovanie atribútov kvality života, ale aj samotnej kvality života dospelých a seniorov navštevujúcich univerzitu tretieho veku. Výsledky nášho výskumu sme porovnávali s výsledkami výskumu UK Bratislava a FF Prešovskej univerzity. Dospeli k záverom, že je potrebné vytvárať prostredie a programy umožňujúce starnúcim osobám a seniorom vyrovnať sa s novými poznatkami a informáciami, ktoré vedú k udržaniu a rozvíjaniu ich schopností, prispievajú k zvládnutiu nárokov modernej spoločnosti a napĺňajú ich záujmy a potreby.

W Katedrze Techniki i Informatyzacji PF UKF w Nitrze zostały przeprowadzone badania w celu określenia cech jakości Ŝycia osób dorosłych i seniorów uczestniczących w zajęciach Uniwersytetu Trzeciego Wieku. Wyniki naszych badań w porównaniu do wyników badań przeprowadzonych na Uniwersytecie Komeńskiego w Bratysławie i Uniwersytecie w Preszowie wskazują, Ŝe konieczne jest stworzenie odpowiedniego środowiska i programów dydaktycznych, dzięki którym osoby starsze mogą sprostać pojawiającej się nowej wiedzy i nowym informacjom. MoŜe to doprowadzić do utrzymania i zwiększenia zdolności ludzi starszych oraz do zaspokajania ich potrzeb wynikających z rozwijającego się nowoczesnego społeczeństwa informacyjnego.

The Department of Technics and Information Technologies, School of Education, Constantine the Philosopher in Nitra, has conducted a research on examining the attibutes of life quality, as well as on examining the life quality itself of the adults and seniors attending the University of the Third Age. The data collected from our research have been compared with the data from the research conducted at the Comenius University in Bratislava and Philosophical Faculty of Prešov University. We came to the conclusion that it is essential to create the environment and programmes that would enable the aging people and seniors to come to terms with new knowledge and information, that leads to maintaining and developing their skills, contributes to their handling of the modern society demands and fulfils their interests and needs.
