Dla wielu krajów Bliskiego Wschodu i Afryki Północnej rok 2011 był czasem niepokojów społecznych. Nie ominęły one również Maroka. Marokańczycy protestowali przeciwko autorytarnym formom sprawowania władzy, braku moralności wśród elit politycznych, ograniczeniom praw obywatelskich i pogarszającym się warunkom życia. W odpowiedzi na rozruchy społeczne została przyjęta nowa konstytucja. Głównym celem artykułu jest pokazanie tła, przebiegu i rezultatów zmian zachodzących w marokańskiej polityce pod wpływem ,,Wiosny ludów". Celem artykułu jest udzielenie odpowiedzi na pytanie: Czy można je określić mianem rewolucji?

For many countries of the Middle East and North Africa 2011 was a year of social unrest. It affected Morocco as well. The Moroccans protested against authoritarian forms of exercising the power, immorality of the political elite, restriction of civil rights and deteriorating living conditions. New Constitution was accepted in response to the riots. The main goal of the article is to show the background, the course and the results of the changes happening in the Moroccan politics under the influence of “the Arab Spring”. The paper aims at answering the question: Is it right to define it as revolution?
