The article deals with issues of the influence of the sharing economy on contemporary cities. The change of attitude of people to issues of the possession as well as the aspiration for staying in community contributed to the rise of the concept of sharing. In the case of such behaviours a city can be a perfect environment provided appropriate conditions are offered.

Dla takich zachowań miasto może być idealnym środowiskiem pod warunkiem zaoferowania odpowiednich warunków.

Decyzje związane są z udziałem przedstawicieli różnych nauk innych niż logistyczne, co spowodowało, że ich charakter jest aktualnie interdyscyplinarny. Takie podejście umożliwia udział obywateli w procesie podejmowania decyzji i zwiększa efektywność projektów logistycznych, które są realizowane w życiu miasta.

The article aims at identifying determinants of the smart city concept. The author undertakes this issue since there are numerous interpretation inconsistencies that result in many understatements or separate and mismatching arguments. Moreover, adoption of the concept assumptions shall allow for decribing the phenomenon in a precise and measurable manner. This manner would enable defining the smart city concept and help those who are interested move in the area of theoretical and decision making aspects of contemporary cities.

Celem rozważań jest identyfikacja uwarunkowań koncepcji smart city. Autor podjął temat ze względu na rozbieżności interpretacyjne będące powodem wielu niedomówień czy też odrębnych i nie przystających do siebie wywodów. Ponadto - przyjęcie założeń koncepcji pozwoli nadać temu pojęciu konkretny, możliwy do zwymiarowania opis, ułatwiający definiowanie zjawiska smart city oraz poruszanie się w obszarze rozważań teoretycznych i decyzyjnych dotyczących współczesnych miast.

A necessity to formulate logistics policy and strategy on the national, regional or urban (agglomeration in particular) levels triggers discussions about the place of logistics in structures of public or self-government administration units that are in principle bureaucratised. Hence, the Authors who, on the one hand, analyse examples of Poland and Russia and on the other hand study relevant theoretical output, try to answer a question whether it is possible to place logistics in the organisation structure that is bureaucratised. Using opinions of logisticians who are practitioners, they point to a wide range of potential issues to be dealt with in the context described above.

Konieczność tworzenia polityki i strategii logistycznej na szczeblu państwa, regionu czy miasta (szczególnie aglomeracji), wywołuje dyskusję na temat wpisania tejże logistyki w struktury jednostki administracji publicznej, czy samorządowej, które z reguły są zbiurokratyzowane. Stąd Autorzy, przyglądając się z jednej strony – rzeczywistości Polski i Rosji, z drugiej zaś – dorobkowi teoretycznemu podejmują wstępnej odpowiedzi na pytanie czy da się wmontować logistykę w zbiurokratyzowaną strukturę organizacyjną. Autorzy bazując na opiniach logistyków - praktyków wskazują na szereg potencjalnych problemów, związanych z takim działaniem.
