The aim of the article is to deal with the application of the agile project management concept from the perspective of controlling processes. The author presents the basic elements of the SCRUM meth-odology as well as main project controlling issues. Based on above, specific aspects of the SCRUM methodology that refer to the recommendations resulting from strategic and operational controlling in project management are identified. This in particular concerns the structure of the project work, the key roles and actions of stakeholders, and the meetings and reports recommended in this approach for the process of obtaining information, especially at the project implementation stage. The author concludes with the comparison to monitoring and control recommendations commonly found in cas-cade project management approach.

Celem artykułu jest analiza zagadnień controllingu projektów z punktu widzenia adaptacyjnego (zwinnego) podejścia do zarządzania projektami. Autor przedstawia podstawowe założenia metodyki SCRUM a także kluczowe pojęcia z zakresu controllingu projektów. W oparciu o powyższe szczegóło-wo identyfikuje te aspekty koncepcji SCRUM, które odnoszą się do zagadnień strategicznego i opera-tywnego controllingu w zarządzaniu projektami. W szczególności dotyczy to takich obszarów jak: struktura prac projektowych, kluczowe role i działania interesariuszy projektu oraz zakres i treść spo-tkań zespołu a także sprawozdań zalecanych w tym podejściu w ramach procesu uzyskiwania infor-macji, zwłaszcza na etapie wdrażania projektu. Autor kończy swoje rozważania porównaniem powyż-szego zakresu analizy do zagadnień controllingu w odniesieniu doklasycznych (kaskadowych) kon-cepcji zarządzania projektami.

Social responsibility of enterprises defines the organization’s responsibility for sustainable development, includes obligations to ensure not only the continuity of its operation, but also activities to protect the natural environment, eliminate or reduce social inequalities, including extreme poverty or attention to local economic development. Taking project management into consideration, the authors believe that projects, as the main instruments of organizational development, should take into account elements of sustainable development regarding the way of organizing work, planning its execution, partial products, and final results. In this approach, it is worth emphasizing that responsibility for the area of sustainable development should be perceived as a natural element of the project scope, and taking responsibility for this area should become a customary element of management processes in project implementation, included not only in bottom-up decision-making processes but also in their methodological support. According to the authors, it is also worth clarifying the concepts of social responsibility of projects and sustainable project management. This article is devoted to the analysis of these issues.

Społeczna odpowiedzialność działalności przedsiębiorstw określa odpowiedzialność organizacji za zrównoważony rozwój, zawiera obowiązki w zakresie dbałości nie tylko o zapewnienie ciągłości jego funkcjonowania, ale także działania na rzecz ochrony środowiska naturalnego, likwidację lub zmniejszanie nierówności społecznych w tym skrajnego ubóstwa czy dbałość o lokalny rozwój gospodarczy. Analizując to zagadnienie przez pryzmat projektów Autorzy uważają, że projekty – jako główne instrumenty rozwoju organizacji – powinny uwzględniać elementy zrównoważonego rozwoju odnośnie do sposobu organizacji prac, planowania ich wykonawstwa, produktów cząstkowych oraz ostatecznych rezultatów. W tym ujęciu warto podkreślić, że odpowiedzialność za obszar zrównoważonego rozwoju należy postrzegać jako naturalny element zakresu projektu, zaś branie odpowiedzialności za ten obszar powinno stać się zwyczajowym elementem procesów zarządczych w realizacji projektów, ujętych nie tylko w oddolnych procesach decyzyjnych, ale również ich wsparciu metodycznym. Zdaniem Autorów warto również doprecyzować pojęcia społecznej odpowiedzialności projektów oraz zrównoważonego zarządzania projektami. Analizie tych właśnie zagadnień został poświęcony niniejszy artykuł.

The main idea of the article is to present the issue of change management in the conditions of variability, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity (VUCA) of the organizational environment. Starting from the presentation of the main research trends considering change management, the authors assess the usefulness of selected change management concepts in the VUCA world. The analyzed models were grouped and then assessed on a four-point scale. The summary of the article indicates the factors determining the efficiency of change management in conditions of high dynamics and complexity of the environment.

W artykule omówiono zagadnienie zarządzania zmianą w warunkach zmienności, niepewności, złożoności i wieloznaczności (VUCA) otoczenia organizacji. Wychodząc od przedstawienia głównych nurtów badań w zarządzaniu zmianą, autorzy dokonują oceny przydatności modeli zarządzania zmianą w świecie VUCA. Analizowane modele zostały pogrupowane, a następnie ocenione w czterostopniowej skali. W podsumowaniu artykułu wskazano czynniki determinujące sprawność zarządzania zmianą w warunkach wysokiej dynamiki i złożoności otoczenia.

The implementation of new projects in the pharmaceutical industry highly depends on project management knowledge. In order to implement them effectively, project managers can use a wide range of tools and techniques developed over decades in various industries around the world. Regardless of the chosen development model, effective project implementation has a high impact on the operational efficiency and market position of pharmaceutical companies, therefore, it is worth asking the question about good project practices used in the industry. In this regard, the authors would like to analyse a life cycle scheme for implementing projects of new medicinal products, allowing for the effective implementation of projects in the segment of generic drugs. It will be presented taking into account the issue of projectification of the pharmaceutical industry and the specificity of implementing projects concerning new products development and introducing them into the market.

Wdrażanie nowych projektów w branży farmaceutycznej jest ściśle powiązane z zarządzaniem projektami. W celu ich skutecznej realizacji kierownicy projektów mogą korzystać z szerokiego instrumentarium narzędzi i technik, wypracowanych przez dziesięciolecia w różnych branżach na całym świecie. Ponieważ – niezależnie od wybranego modelu rozwoju – skuteczna realizacja projektów w wysokim stopniu wpływa na sprawność działania i pozycję rynkową firm farmaceutycznych, warto zadać pytanie o stosowane w branży dobre praktyki projektowe. W tym zakresie autorzy poddali analizie schemat realizacji projektów wdrażania nowych produktów leczniczych, pozwalający skutecznie wprowadzać te projekty w segmencie leków generycznych. Zagadnienie to zostanie przedstawione z uwzględnieniem zjawiska projektyzacji branży farmaceutycznej oraz specyfiki realizacji projektów rozwoju nowych produktów i wprowadzania ich do obrotu.

In recent years we have observed the global awareness of threats posed by unrestrained and irresponsible growth gaining ground. Hence, continuous searches for sustainable solutions which enable to put in place measures that promote global, national, and local efficiency seem to make sense.This paper aims to examine and assess the current state of affairs and proposes directions for the development of sustainable and socially responsible project-related activities. It explains how the idea of social responsibility emerged as a natural consequence of the evolution of an organisation with respect to sustainable development. Against the background of these notions we define the place and role of project management in socially responsible development and discuss different views on the subject presented by authors from different countries. Theoretical considerations are supplemented with the discussion of the findings of own surveys focused on the role and relevance of social responsibility in project management in organisations active in this field in Poland. It was an exploratory study, the first of its kind in Poland.
