In the article basic biographical information about Professor Teatyn Rott-Zhebrousky is provided, observations on the structure, content, principles and features of two textbooks on the Belarusian language are given: “Grammar of the Belarusian language. Grammatical minimum” in 2 parts (1991–92) and “Historical grammar of the Belarusian language” (1992). The fi rst of these textbooks was intended for studying Belarusian as a foreign language, the second – for studying at an in-depth, but more narrowly focused level.

У артыкуле падаюцца асноўныя біяграфічныя звесткі аб прафесары Т. Рот-Жэброўскім, прыводзяцца назіранні над структурай, зместам, прынцыпамі і асаблівасцямі двух дапаможнікаў па беларускай мове: “Граматыка беларускай мовы. Граматычны мінімум” у 2-х частках (1991–92) і “Гістарычная граматыка беларускай мовы” (1992). Першы з названых дапаможнікаў прызначаўся для вывучэння беларускай мовы як замежнай, другі – для вывучэння на паглыбленным, але больш вузка скіраваным узроўні.
