The author presents one of the themes concerning the genesis of intercultural, anti-discrimination and equality education, and academic reflection on them from the perspective of personal history. He assumes that contemporary intercultural education and intercultural pedagogy are rooted in the personal stories of many people who were persecuted because of cultural differences and whose rights in the public sphere were restricted - including the right to education. Therefore, these people took actions in the public sphere for the benefit of equality of a culturally diverse milieu. In this article, in a chronological order, biograms of the most important precursors and pioneers of intercultural education and intercultural pedagogy were presented.

Autor przedstawia jeden z wątków genezy edukacji międzykulturowej, antydyskryminacyjnej i równościowej oraz akademickiej refleksji na ich temat, z perspektywy historii osobistych. Wychodzi z założenia, że współczesna edukacja międzykulturowa i pedagogika międzykulturowa są zakorzenione w osobistych historiach wielu osób, które były prześladowane z powodu odmienności kulturowej, ograniczano ich prawa w sferze publicznej, między innymi prawo do edukacji. W związku z tym podjęły one działania w sferze publicznej na rzecz równouprawnienia osób wywodzących się ze środowisk różnorodnych kulturowo. W artykule zostały przedstawione w układzie chronologicznym biogramy najważniejszych prekursorów i pionierów edukacji międzykulturowej oraz pedagogiki międzykulturowej.

The article contains extensive excerpts from the analysis of social capital prepared for Mayor of Lubsko. The author also outlines the concept of intercultural education addressed to the small town community. The author’s aim is to initiate discussions on forms of cooperation between representatives of local government and the academic community in the field of design and implementation of intercultural education. This document contains suggestions for actions by city authorities, self-government institutions, social organizations and nongovernmental organizations on the basis of intergenerational cooperation.

W artykule zostały zawarte obszerne fragmenty analizy kapitału społecznego opracowanej dla burmistrza Lubska. Autor przedstawia także założenia koncepcji edukacji międzykulturowej adresowanej do społeczeństwa małego miasta. Celem autora jest zainicjowanie dyskusji nad formami współpracy między przedstawicielami władz samorządowych i środowiskiem akademickim w dziedzinie projektowania i realizowania koncepcji edukacji międzykulturowej. Przedstawiony dokument zawiera sugestie działań władz miasta, instytucji samorządowych i organizacji społecznych, na zasadach współpracy międzypokoleniowej.

In most societies disabled people are subject to taboo, in terms of laughing at their weaknesses, failures, inadequacies and differnt situations connected with their disability. However, they are becoming a more frequent ligtsome topic of different forms in mass culture (from television to the Internet) – interesting especially when they laugh at themselves. The article deals with the situations of laughing at Other in this context together with the examples of films, shows and educational projects.

The article presents the circumstances of disseminating scientific achievements in the Internet on the basis of open access. The authors present the channels of disseminating the scientific output, such as Google Scholar search engine and social networking service for scientists and researchers Academia. edu and ResearchGate.net. The authors’ attention is particularly focused on the achievements of intercultural pedagogy in the Polish language included in these channels. They present the results of the analysis of the content of these social networking services and suggestions for the dissemination of the Polish achievements of intercultural educators.

Koncentrują się szczególnie na zamieszczonym w tych kanałach dorobku z pedagogiki międzykulturowej w języku polskim. Przedstawiają wyniki analizy ich zawartości oraz propozycje dotyczące upowszechniania polskojęzycznego dorobku pedagogów międzykulturowych.
