Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie stosunkowo nowego zjawiska whistleblowingu w Polsce, które doczekało się polskiego wariantu „sygnalista” na określenie działań osoby, która informuje o nieprawidłowościach w swoim miejscu pracy. Intencją artykułu była analiza czynników sprzyjających tej formie aktywności obywatelskiej na gruncie polskim. Podjęto się weryfikacji stopnia wykorzystania whistleblowingu przez żołnierzy do informowania mediów o patologicznych mechanizmach obecnych w Żandarmerii Wojskowej.

The aim of the article is to present a relatively new phenomenon of whistleblowing in Poland, which has a Polish version of "whistleblower" to describe the actions of the person who informs about irregularities in his workplace. The intention of the article was to analyze the factors that favor this form of civic activity on Polish public sphere. In this article the author has verified of the degree of whistleblowing using by soldiers to inform the media about pathological mechanisms in the Military Gendarmerie.

The aim of the article was to present the attitude of the media in Poland towards the outbreak of one of the most notorious political scandals of recent years. The subject matter of the analysis was the following: politicians' positions against the disclosed „Tape Scandal” presented via the media; the attitude of the Polish media towards this political scandal and the „heroes” of this affair; evaluation of the weekly Wprost's activity. The following research methods were used in the study: analysis of the content of selected media reports focusing on „Tape Scandal”, comparative method and case study. As a result of the analysis of the content of the weekly press, it was verified that the „Tape Scandal” of 2014 caused a political division in the media.
