Styl kierowania stanowi jeden z kluczowych czynników konkurencyjności małej firmy i efektywności jej funkcjonowania. W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań ankietowych, mających na celu wyłonienie dominującego stylu kierowania menedżerów małych firm Lubelszczyzny. Badania oparto na klasyfikacji R. Lippitta i R.K. White'a. Ustalono, że respondenci najczęściej stosują elementy stylu autokratycznego, chociaż nie występuje on w czystej postaci.

The management style is one of the key factors in the competitiveness of small enterprises and the efficiency of its operations. Results of the survey aimed at selecting the dominant leadership style of managers of small enterprises of the Lublin Region have been presented. The research was based on the R. Lippitt's and R.K. White's classification. It has been determined, that respondents use elements of an autocratic style most often, although it doesn't appear in pure form.

Stwierdzono, że budowa systemu zarządzania przedsiębiorczego, w którym systematycznie, skutecznie są wdrażane najnowsze rozwiązania w dziedzinie organizacji i zarządzania, zapewnia stabilny rozwój przedsiębiorstwa. Omówiono najczęściej stosowane w praktyce funkcjonowania dużych i małych przedsiębiorstw koncepcje zarządzania, przeanalizowano ich skuteczność i satysfakcję od wdrożenia.

The author has presented the importance of modern management concepts in the present business. It has been proven that building system of entrepreneurial management, where the newest solutions in the field of organization and management are systematic and effectively implemented, does ensure stable development of the company. The author has discussed most cammonly used in the practical functioning of large and small companies management concepts, was analyzed its efficiency and satisfaction of its implementation.

W artykule omówiono zagadnienia dotyczące istoty przedsiębiorczości. Zaprezentowano sytuację oraz problemy rozwoju małego biznesu w Polsce i na Białorusi. Przedstawiono wyniki badań ankietowych przeprowadzonych wśród mieszkańców województwa lubelskiego (Polska) i województwa brzeskiego (Białoruś) na temat postrzegania przez nich przedsiębiorczości. W obu krajach badania wykazały pozytywny stosunek ludności do przedsiębiorczości, ale niską aktywność i chęć działań przedsiębiorczych. Nie wykryto większych różnic w ich poglądach i postawach.

Issues concerning the essence of entrepreneurship have been discussed. The situation and problems of small business development in Poland and Belarus have been presented. Results of poll research conducted among citizens of the district of Lublin (Poland) and the district of Brest (Belarus) in order to research their attitude towards the entrepreneurship have been presented. The research have proven their positive attitude towards the entrepreneurship but also the lack of activity and willingness to take up enterprising actions alike. No major differences in views and attitudes of the population of the Polish-Belarusian frontier have been detected.

The article discusses issues related to individual entrepreneurship. It is conditioned by a series of external (economic, political-legal, socio-cultural) and internal (individual characteristics) factors. The results of research conducted on the group of inhabitants of Lublin were presented in order to determine the factors which facilitated and hindered the establishment of one's own company. Starting up individual business activity is mainly facilitated by internal factors, while external factors make this process difficult.

Analizie poddano usługi zlecane firmom zewnętrznym, ich sposób realizacji oraz wpływ takiego rozwiązania na działalność placówki służby zdrowia. Szczególną uwagę poświęcono przyszłej wizji outsourcingu w szpitalach, obejmującą dwa przeciwstawne działania, a więc dalszy rozwój lub rezygnację z tej metody zarządzania.

This article presents results of research concerning outsourcing in district hospitals of Lublin province. Services recommended to external companies, it's way of realization and influence on hospitals activity were analyzed. Particular attention was paid to long-term vision of outsourcing in hospitals and was composed of selection between future development and resignation of this method of management.

Zarządzanie współczesnymi firmami powinno być przedsiębiorcze. Wymaga to wdrożenia nowoczesnych metod zarządzania. Przedstawiono wyniki badań pilotażowych przeprowadzonych w przedsiębiorstwach Lubelszczyzny, będących laureatami nagrody „Lubelski Orzeł Biznesu”. Celem badań było sprawdzenie wiedzy i zakresu zastosowania nowoczesnych rozwiązań menedżerskich w przedsiębiorstwach różnej wielkości. Otrzymane wyniki pozwoliły na ocenę nowoczesności zarządzania w odniesieniu do dużych, średnich i małych przedsiębiorstw. Menedżerowie dużych przedsiębiorstw posiadają większą wiedzę i częściej stosują nowoczesne rozwiązania kierownicze.

Management of present businesses must be enterprising. It does require the implementation of modern management methods. The authors have presented the results of pilot studies carried out in enterprises in the region of Lublin, which are the winners of the “Lublin Business Eagle” prize. The aim of this study was the test of knowledge and scope of application of modern management solutions in all-sizes enterprises. The results have allowed to estimate the modern management for large, medium and small-sized enterprises. Managers of large companies have greater knowledge and more likely would use modern management solutions.
