Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie w zarysie problemu wietnamskiej przestępczości zorganizowanej. Zjawisko to jest stosunkowo nowe szczególnie w Europie chociaż emigranci z tego kraju pojawili się w Europie zarówno zachodniej, jak i wschodniej już w latach 60. XX wieku. Hermetyczność środowisk wietnamskich utrudnia rozpoznanie przez uprawnione służby krajów dotkniętych tym problemem, chodzi tu głównie o Francję, Niemcy i Polskę. Skuteczna walka wymaga złożonych procedur operacyjnych, przede wszystkim umieszczania wewnątrz grup agentów posiadających odpowiedni wygląd, znających język oraz kulturę wietnamską. Nie jest to oczywiście proste wyzwanie dla służb europejskich. Jednak coraz aktywniejsze działania przestępcze, głównie w zakresie wyłudzeń podatkowych, prania brudnych pieniędzy, produkcji i sprzedaży narkotyków oraz handlu ludźmi, zmobilizowały policje wielu krajów do podjęcia kroków pozwalających na skuteczną walkę z mafią wietnamską, jak często bywa, nazywana wietnamska przestępczość zorganizowana.

The aim of the article is to outline the issue of Vietnamese organized crime. This phenomenon is relatively new especially in Europe, although emigrants from this country appeared in Western and Eastern Europe as early as in the 1960s. The hermetic nature of the Vietnamese environments makes it difficult to recognize by the authorized services of countries affected by this problem, mainly France, Germany and Poland. Effective fight requires complex operational procedures, first of all placing groups of agents with the right appearance, who know the language and Vietnamese culture. This is obviously not a simple challenge for the European services. However, more and more active criminal activities, mainly in the area of tax fraud, money laundering, drug production and sales, and human trafficking, have mobilized police in many countries to take steps to effectively fight the Vietnamese mafia, as Vietnamese organized crime is often illegitimate referred to.
