In the article selected aspects of property management are presented. Particular attention is paid to the role of real estate manager and the specificity of the relationship emerging between the manager and the owners of residential units. These problems are discussed in the context of agency theory.

Research background: Researchers traditionally assume that learning is a product of experience. In general, it means that learning can only take place through the attempt to solve a problem and therefore only takes place during activity (Arrow, 1962). On the ground of organizational theory, it has two implications. First, we can agree that repeated activity requires less effort. Second, we can argue that firms undertake activities, with which they have been the most successful in the past and that they expect to be the most successful in the future. Purpose of the article: The aim of the research is twofold. Firstly, this article aims to investigate if we can identify a relationship between the experience in PPP projects and the performance of initiatives of this kind. Secondly, the article aims to provide an interpretation of the relationship between experience and PPP performance. Methods: This research investigates factors influencing the survival of PPP projects in Poland over the period 2009?2015. Cox proportional hazard model is utilized to distinguish between PPPs that succeeded to the operation phase and those that were canceled on the procurement stage. Findings & Value added: The research confirms the existence of a positive relationship between experience in PPP and the outcome of a PPP development.

The aim of this paper is to determine the motives to implement public-private partnership (PPP) in municipalities. It was assumed that the implementation of such projects is determined by characteristics that can be aggregated into three areas: the availability of infrastructure, the size of the financial resources at the disposal of municipalities, and the ability to finance an investment project without exceeding the limits of liability. A quantitative study of these relations was done using taxonomic analysis. The study failed to clearly resolve the impact of having an infrastructure gap on PPP decisions. The results have confirmed, however, that municipalities are suffering from rising public debt, which threatens the investment process. Research shows that PPP is perceived by the communities under consideration as a remedy to the problems associated with obtaining investment financing.

The elaboration treats about the issue of PPP in Poland. Since 2099 Poland has been experiencing the growing number of PPP undertakings. The aim of study is to present the issues concerning the conditions for the development of PPP in Poland. This problem is presented in the context of the ongoing global financial crisis. It seems that in Polish conditions, a reflection of the current recession is the low success rate of PPP initiatives.

W ramach przeprowadzonych badań Autorki za cel postawiły sobie zbadanie zależności między atrakcyjnością inwestycyjną a uwarunkowaniami proceduralnymi (administracyjnymi) działalności deweloperskiej wybranych państw europejskich. Artykuł został przygotowany w ramach projektu badawczego „Instytucjonalne uwarunkowania działalności inwestycyjnej w P olsce w kontekście zarządzania publicznego na przykładzie wybranych miast”, NCN , umowa nr 4143/B/H03/2011/40.

W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań prowadzonych w ramach oceny specjalności Nieruchomości i Inwestycje. Badania obejmowały następujące grupy ankietowanych: studentów specjalności, absolwentów oraz potencjalnych pracodawców. Celem przeprowadzonych badań było poznanie opinii studentów oraz absolwentów na temat wybranej specjalności, przebiegu studiów a także przyszłych perspektywach zawodowych. Podjęto również próbę zbadania opinii na temat specjalności Nieruchomości i Inwestycje wśród pracodawców oraz określenia oczekiwań pracodawców wobec specjalistów z zakresu obsługi rynku nieruchomości.

The article presents the results of research conducted as part of the assessment of Real Estate and Investments specialization. In the research, we included the following groups of respondents: students, graduates and potential employers. The aim of the research was to familiarize with the opinions of students and graduates on the subject of a chosen specialty, the course of studies as well as future career prospects. Another attempt was to examine opinions on the Real Estate and Investments specialization among employers and to determine their expectations towards specialists in the field of real estate market.
