W artykule omówiono realizację projektu z zakresu rewitalizacji terenów poprzemysłowych oraz dokonano analizy i oceny jego wpływu na przestrzeń społeczną i gospodarczą Gliwic. Przedstawiono kompleksowe przedsięwzięcie, polegające na przekształceniu terenów poprzemysłowych w strefę edukacji i przedsiębiorczości oraz przestrzeń kultur, jako działanie pionierskie w Polsce w tej skali. W wyniku przeprowadzonej analizy można precyzyjnie wskazać wartość dodaną zrealizowanych przedsięwzięć na terenach poprzemysłowych, perspektywy dalszego rozwoju inwestycji komunalnych i prywatnych na obszarze rewitalizowanym. W końcowej części artykułu przedstawiono dalsze plany i możliwości realizacji zadań operacyjnych na terenie Nowych Gliwic i w jego bliższym i dalszym otoczeniu.

The article presents the process of revitalisation of post-industrial areas, analyses and evaluates its impact on social and economic space in Gliwice. There was presented a complex project concentrating on transformation of post-industrial areas into education and entrepreneurship zone as a pioneer activity of this type in Poland. Basing on the performed analysis there was determined the added value of the executed projects, perspectives of further development of private and public investments in the neighbourhood. In the latest part there were described further plans and options of development of the site and its surrounding.

The paper presents a few examples of implemented urban regeneration projects, the analysis and evaluation of their influence on the social and economic sphere of the city of Gliwice. Among all activities there were indicated smaller scale projects referring to adaptation of buildings for the needs of courts and one complex project referring to transformation of a post-industrial zone into an education and entrepreneurship area. As a result of the carried out analysis the added value of the projects may be precisely determined, namely, within the surrounding of the courts there was observed rapid growth of services offered to the public, i.e. the legal and consulting. In the neighbourhood of the post-industrial zone, on the other hand, there are perspectives for further investments undertaken by the city and private entities. In the latter part of the article, the authors present further plans and possibilities of  mplementing operational activities in the city of Gliwice.
