Artykuł dotyczy zmian pojmowania tożsamości człowieka we współczesnej kulturze. Autorka wskazuje, iż zmiany technologiczne w kulturze współczesnej i pojawienie się nowych form komunikacji przyczyniły się do przekształcenia tzw. statycznego modelu tożsamości w model dynamiczny. Tożsamość jest współcześnie rozumiana jako strategia samookreślenia. Jako zmienna, oznacza tymczasowy „styl życia” związany z kształtowaniem wizerunku wedle obowiązującej mody.

The article concerns the changes in understanding of the human identity in the contemporary culture. The author suggests that the technological changes in the contemporary culture and the emergence of new forms of communication contributed to the transformation of so-called static model of the identity into the dynamic model. Nowadays the identity is understood as a strategy of self-determination. As a changeable one, it means a temporary „lifestyle” connected with the shaping of the image according to the current vogue.
