W artykule porównano konkurencyjność poszczególnych technologii odnawialnych źródeł energii, biorąc pod uwagę zrównoważenie czynników środowiskowych, bezpie-czeństwa energetycznego i aspektu ekonomicznego. Podkreślono znaczenie prognozo-wania kosztów energetyki. Stwierdzono, że fotowoltaika pochłania najwyższe koszty inwestycyjne, a najmniej kosztów wymaga rozwój farm wiatrowych lądowych i mor-skich oraz pozyskiwanie biogazu wysypiskowego.

The article compares the competitiveness of renewable energy technologies, taking into account the balance between environmental factors, energy security and economic aspect. It emphasized the importance of forecasting the cost of energy. It was found that the photovoltaic consumes the highest investment costs and the lowest cost needs the development of wind farms onshore and offshore, and biogas landfill.

W artykule przedstawiono podstawy zrównoważonego rozwoju wsi. Jednym z narzędzi implementacji zasad ekorozwoju jest gospodarka odpadami. Problem dużej masy wytwarzanych odpadów występuje na wielu obszarach wiejskich. Rozwojowi technologicznemu w dziedzinie unieszkodliwiania i wykorzystania odpadów musi towarzyszyć wzrost świadomości ekologicznej społeczeństwa. Zaproponowano projekt ulotki ekologicznej dla podniesienia świadomości ekologicznej przedsiębiorców branży spożywczej.

This paper presents the basis of sustainable development of rural areas. Waste management is one of the tools for implementing the idea of sustainable development. Large quantity of waste is a problem that occurs in numerous rural areas. Technological development in utilization and waste disposal should be associated with an increase of environmental awareness and society involvement in the correct waste management. A design of leaflets was proposed to raise the ecological awareness of the entrepreneurs involved in the organic food industry.

Jednym z założeń tworzenia i funkcjonowania geoparku jest ochrona dziedzictwa geologicznego i funkcjonowanie sieci geostanowisk. Interesujące przykłady zagospodarowania terenów pogórniczych pod potrzeby geoturystyki i edukacji geologicznej pochodzą z wielu krajów europejskich, m.in. z Wielkiej Brytanii, Niemiec i Portugalii. Wskazują one na wymierne korzyści wynikające z wdrażania projektów edukacyjnych aktywizujących społeczności lokalne. Proces ten wiąże się z budowaniem tożsamości regionalnej i identyfikacji mieszkańców z inicjatywą geoparku oraz działaniami planowanymi na jego terenie. Istotna jest również aktywizacja gospodarcza polegająca na tworzeniu i wspieraniu lokalnych inicjatyw biznesowych wykorzystujących i promujących dziedzictwo geologiczne i kulturowe geoparku. Artykuł uwzględnia problematykę włączenia społeczności lokalnej w proces decyzyjny poprzez wykorzystanie mechanizmów funkcjonowania i zarządzania geoparkiem.

One of the objectives of the establishment and functioning of the geopark is the protection of geological heritage and operation of the network of geosites. Interesting examples of post-mining land use for the needs of geotourism and geological education come from many European countries, including UK, Germany and Portugal. They show the measurable benefits of the implementation of educational projects, activating communities. This process involves the building of regional identity and identity with the geopark initiative and the activities planned in their area. It is also important economical activity consisting in the creation and support of local business initiatives, harnessing and promoting geological and cultural heritage of the geopark. Article takes into account the problem of integration of local communities in decision-making through the use of mechanisms of operation and management of geopark.
