This article presents an analysis of changes in the Polish insurance market generated by the globalization and internalization of financial institutions. Conclusions on consumer attitudes to an expanded range of insurance services are derived from the collected research material (through expert interviews with representatives of the management of leading insurance companies on the Polish market, and focused interviews). According to modern theories of marketing, distribution is treated as a synonym for client comfort. In the opinion of author’s interlocutors comprehensive customer service, better suited to customer’s needs, has become a standard. The delivery of insurance products in the optimal way, to the right place, and at a price convenient for the customer leads to the improvement of a company’s competitiveness.
