Pytanie o rolę kobiety w Kościele stawiane jest w kontekście świata i uruchamia jego problemy. A współczesny świat ma trudność w akceptacji ról, wymagań i współzależności, ale także w docenianiu codziennego, żmudnego wysiłku ukierunkowanego na dobro wspólne. Kontekstem dla odpowiedzi na postawione pytanie powinny być równolegle dookreślane role innych członków wspólnoty – mężczyzn, księży, sióstr zakonnych. I oczywiście pozostaje kwestia, po co pytanie zostaje zadane i czy odpowiedź jest spójna z tą udzielaną w praktyce życia.

The question about the role of a woman in the Church is asked in the context of the world and triggers its problems. And the modern world has difficulty accepting roles, requirements and interdependence, but also in appreciating every day, arduous effort aimed at the common good. The context for answering the question should also be the parallel definition of the roles of other members of the community - men, priests, nuns. And of course, there remains the question of why the question is asked and whether the answer is consistent with the one given in real life.

W artykule poruszane są kwestie nadmiernego ingerowania w tekst naukowy. Rozważane są powody i tłumaczenia pojawiające się w kontekście owej ingerencji, które są nieprzekonujące. Koszty ujednolicania, bądź upraszczania tekstu wbrew życzeniom autora są na tyle duże, że warto się przeciwstawić owej tendencji, wybierając inny sposób myślenia o tekście naukowym. Tekst ma wzbudzać refleksję, tworzyć szansę na dialog, odzwierciedlać myśl autora w wybranej przezeń formie, nawet gdy jest niezręczna, byle była poprawna i stylistycznie, i gramatycznie.

The article deals with excessive interference in a scholarly text. We analysed the reasons and explanations provided by critics to justify this interference, which we found unconvincing. The costs of standardising or simplifying a text against the author`s wishes are so high that it is worthwhile to oppose this tendency by adopting a different approach to a scholarly text. The role of a text is to provoke reflection, offer an opportunity for dialogue, present the author`s thoughts in a form he or she has chosen, however clumsy it might be, as long as it is stylistically and grammatically correct.
