The aim of the research is to describe the issues included in the social dimension of cultural security and to explain the mutual implications occurring between it and the spiritual and material dimensions. The research was based on a qualitative research perspective, which was based on passive observation and analysis of sources. The analysis included publications on multidimensional participation in culture and cultural activity of people in the real and virtual dimension. Results: observation of lifestyles and cultural practices of modern societies shows a change and departure from traditional forms of spending free time, avoiding the “consumption” of the benefits of elite (high) culture in favor of pop culture products served in a relatively unified, simple and accessible form for everyone. On the other hand, social culture understood as a component of cultural security changes research trajectories towards an increasingly unified audience and at the same time a demanding audience. Effects: research on the social dimension of cultural security requires a holistic approach based on the integration of the social dimension of culture with the spiritual and material. Changes in lifestyles and cultural practices indicate that the world of values of modern societies is changing. Traditional forms of cultural participation remain permanent in the case of traditions, customs and cultivating holidays, as well as in relation to historical memory. On the other hand, the tendency to participate in the culture of the institutional dimension (including elite culture) is changing in favor of the cheap offer of e-culture, often “consumed” in a domesticated system.

Celem badań jest deskrypcja zagadnień wpisanych w społeczny wymiar bezpieczeństwa kulturowego oraz eksplanacja wzajemnych implikacji zachodzących między nim a wymiarem duchowym i materialnym. Badania oparto na jakościowej perspektywie badawczej, której podstawę stanowiła obserwacja bierna oraz analiza źródeł. Analizie poddano publikacje dotyczące wielowymiarowego uczestnictwa w kulturze i aktywności kulturalnej ludzi w realnym i wirtualnym wymiarze. Rezultaty: obserwacja stylów życia oraz praktyk kulturalnych nowoczesnych społeczeństw ukazuje zmianę i odejście od tradycyjnych form spędzania wolnego czasu, unikania „konsumpcji” dobrodziejstw kultury elitarnej (wysokiej), na rzecz produktów pop kultury podawanej we względnie zunifikowanej, prostej i dostępnej dla każdego formie. Natomiast kultura społeczna rozumiana jako komponent bezpieczeństwa kulturowego, zmienia trajektorie badawcze w kierunku coraz to bardziej ujednoliconej publiczności i jednocześnie wymagającej publiczności. Wyniki: badania nad społecznym wymiarem bezpieczeństwa kulturowego wymagają holistycznego podejścia opartego na integracji wymiaru społecznego kultury z duchowym i materialnym. Zmiany w stylach życia i praktykach kulturalnych wskazują, że zmienia się świat wartości nowoczesnych społeczeństw. Tradycyjne formy partycypacji kulturalnej pozostają trwałe w przypadku tradycji, obyczajów i kultywowania świąt, a także w odniesieniu do pamięci historycznej. Zmienia się natomiast skłonność do uczestnictwa w kulturze wymiaru instytucjonalnego (w tym w kulturze elitarnej), na rzecz taniej oferty e-kultury, często „konsumowanej” w układzie udomowionym.
