The aim of the communist authorities was to completely laicize the Polish society and liquidate the Catholic Church in Poland. Primate Wyszyński tried to ensure that the authorities failed to achieve these goals. The Primate was convinced that Church can not isolate itself from common destinies with the Polish nation.

Celem stalinowców była całkowita laicyzacja społeczeństwa polskiego i zlikwidowanie Kościoła katolickiego w Polsce. Prymas Wyszyński zabiegał o to, aby władzom nie powiodło się osiągnięcie tych celów. Prymas był przekonany, że Kościół nie może odizolować się od wspólnych losów z narodem polskim.
