Systemy automatycznego rozpoznawania tablic rejestracyjnych (ARTR) znajdują coraz częstsze zastosowania w ramach funkcjonowania inteligentnych systemów transportowych. Identyfikacja pojazdów oraz gromadzenie i przetwarzanie danych w centralnych bazach danych pozwala na tworzenie wyszukanych rozwiązań stanowiących odpowiedź na współczesne wyzwania bezpiecznego i efektywnego transportu. W artykule zaprezentowano najpopularniejsze zastosowania systemów ARTR.

The automatic license plate recognition systems (ALPR) are increasing use in the intelligent transport systems (ITS). Identification of the vehicles and data collection and analyzing allows to create sophisticated solutions for ITS. The article presents the main applications of the ALPR systems.
