The paper discusses the issues related to the practical application of the process of command, which was presented with the example of the contemporary dimension of information wars. In this paper, the following thesis has been adopted: when analysing today's armed conflicts, it is possible to observe a decisive move away from mass armies towards digital armies. Five major factors determining the described process have been identified and their characteristics have been discussed. The paper summarises the accumulated facts, confirming the thesis that the process of transition from mass armies is constantly progressing. This, in turn, is fully reflected in contemporary armed conflicts.
