The aim of the article is to describe support that can be observed in online Facebook teachers’ groups created and administered by teachers or institutions connected with education. The author presented selected Facebook groups, indicated their aims and activities undertaken in their space. On the basis of the conducted research (n = 548), the article will also discuss teachers’ motivations for joining the groups and their reflections connected with belonging to them.

The aim of the article is to present the reasons for leaving the job in public schools by Polish teachers. The author describes the current situation of teachers in Poland, paying attention to their salaries and some expectations set for them. Based on the research results (N = 108), it was found that Polish teachers most often leave teaching in public schools for: financial reasons (too low salaries), being mobbed by the headteachers, divisions in the teachers’ group and also too tough and outdated education system. These reasons are connected with internal and external motivations. Interestingly, after quitting a public school, almost 40% of the respondents wanted to stay in education field, 12% wanted to emigrate and 10% of respondents declared to move to the job which will be connected with ICT.

This article is about e-learning based on learning by watching videos in the Internet. At the beginning, the author briefly explains the role of public television in the education of the viewers, which is defined in the Act on Radio and Television in 1992. The next section describes the educational programs which were (before 89') and which are (after 89') available on public television. After that, the author has focused on approximate educational opportunities that result from the ability to create videos and to publish them on the web. The article presents some examples of channels available on the Internet on the YouTube: Head Squeeze, Polimaty, Edudutv, Eksperymenty Domowe. In the article's conclusion, the author briefly indicates the advantages of learning through videos published on the web.

There has always been a lot of controversy over the list of obligatory school books. It may cause many ambivalent and negative emotions, especially among students. Today some of the new applications can change this situation. The social media like Facebook can help because of books' fanpages, which are created on social media sites. The article presents how teachers can use books fanpages and social media on Polish lessons. The authors referred to the fanpage of „Kamienie na szaniec” written by Aleksander Kamiński and methods which were used by one of the Polish teachers during lessons about „Wesele” written by Stanisław Wyspiański.
