The article analyzes the language of personal ads written by homosexual men and women and published in the popular magazine Relaks i Kolekcjoner Polski in the 1980s. The author compares the content of ads dating from 1983 to 1984 and those dating from 1987 to 1988, discusses the reasons for a temporary suspension of personal ads in 1984, and analyzes the perception of the magazine by Polish society.
