Objective – The authors discuss the subcollection of „Isolated Titles” in the collections of the Library of the Institute of History of Wrocław University. The collection in question appeared as a result of censorship in communist Poland. The publications from this collection due to their contents could not be accessible to all library users and had to be stored separately from other collections, hence the name “Isolated Titles”. Research methods – The following documents were analyzed: inventory books, library catalogs and books stored in „Isolated Titles” collection. Results and conclusions – The article presents the history of the collection from its beginnings at the turn of 1960s and 1970s until the shutdown in the early 1990s. The contents of the collection are analyzed and the number of issues are presented such as the topics of the publications, main publishing houses and series, methods of acquiring and circulating the titles from the collection.

Teza/cel artykułu – Przedmiotem artykułu jest dział PW, który jest częścią zbiorów znajdujących się w Bibliotece Instytutu Historycznego Uniwersytetu Wrocławskiego. Powstanie działu wiąże się z istnieniem cenzury w okresie Polski Ludowej. Książki znajdujące się w kolekcji PW ze względu na swoją treść nie mogły być dostępne dla każdego czytelnika. Wymagały zatem oddzielenia od całości księgozbioru, stąd nazwa sygnatury Pozycje Wydzielone. Metody badań – Przeanalizowano: księgi inwentarzowe, katalogi biblioteczne, książki z działu PW. Wyniki i wnioski – W artykule została przedstawiona historia działu od jego powstania na przełomie lat 60. i 70. aż do jego zamknięcia w początkach lat 90. Ukazano historię i scharakteryzowano księgozbiory, omawiając takie problemy jak: tematyka książek, główne wydawnictwa i serie oraz sposób gromadzenia i udostępniania dzieł.
Business Intelligence technology for over 20 years is the market leader in analytical processing of data. As numerous market researches demonstrate Business Intelligence has substantial affect on global competitiveness of enterprises and on the stability of their position in the market, which is particularly important in times of economic downturn. Although main users of this technology are large companies and corporations, software vendors are still looking for solutions that are also available for the SME (Small and Middle Enterprises) sector and non-profit enterprises. One option available recently is possibility to use Cloud Computing environment. The article considers the opportunities and risks posed by the organization of Cloud Business Intelligence system on the example of using it in SME sector.
The main aim of this article is to present a systematic literature review of the use of social media in higher education marketing activities. A Systematic Literature Review methodology has been used to identify, select and evaluate the published research. A set of 78 papers deduced from Scopus has been analysed and synthesized. Based on the survey, the following questions were answered: (1) In which publications has information on the use of social media in higher education marketing activities appeared?; (2) Which publications on the use of social media in higher education marketing activities were cited most frequently?; (3) Which countries have contributed most to the development of the use of social media in higher education marketing activities through publication activities?; (4) To which subject areas are articles on the use of social media in higher education marketing activities assigned?; (5) Which social media have been used in higher education marketing activities? The paper discusses the gap found in the literature and proposes new opportunities for future research.
