Wpływ osobistego stosunku seniorów na opinie oraz korzystanie z usług zdrowia cyfrowego w Polsce

Seniors are a special group of consumers in Poland, whose importance is growing every year. The medical services sector seems to be of particular importance here, among which the growing trend is digital health. Seniors as consumers have defined needs that result from their specific psycho-physical conditions and habits, which are their second nature. The personal attitude of seniors to digital health and its impact on opinions and the use of digital health services is the main problem of the publication and one of the aspects of quantitative research conducted by the author in July 2021. The publication attempts to analyze the relationship between the personal attitude of seniors towards digital health tools and services and opinions and experiences. The results of the quantitative study showed the relationship between trends and the possible impact of the attitude of seniors on their activity in the digital medical services market and the image of their experiences.

Seniorzy są szczególną grupą konsumentów w Polsce, których znaczenie rośnie z każdym rokiem. W szczególności istotny wydaje się tutaj sektor usług medycznych, wśród których wyróżnia się i wzrasta zdrowie cyfrowe. Seniorzy, jako konsumenci, mają zdefiniowane potrzeby, które wynikają z ich specyficznych uwarunkowań psychofizycznych oraz przyzwyczajeń, będących ich drugą naturą. Osobisty stosunek seniorów do zdrowia cyfrowego oraz jego wpływ na opinie oraz korzystanie z takich usług są głównym problemem opracowania oraz jednym z aspektów badań ilościowych przeprowadzonych przez autorkę w lipcu 2021 roku. W publikacji podjęto próbę analizy zależności pomiędzy osobistym stosunkiem seniorów wobec narzędzi i usług zdrowia cyfrowego, a opiniami oraz doświadczeniami. Wyniki badania ilościowego wskazały na szereg zależności oraz potwierdziły istotny wpływ stosunku seniorów na ich aktywność na rynku omawianych usług.

Any human activity, including the economic one, is carried out under the conditions of uncertainty, which arises from the complexity of reality. Uncertainty is closely related to risk. The concepts of uncertainty and risk, and thus the relations between them are not defined in the same way. The literature gives different criteria for the classification of the investment risk. With respect to the FDI, a risk can be divided into a general risk, associated with investing, and a special risk, arising from the location of investments outside the country of the investor’s origin. The special risk is usually divided into political (considered crucial) and economic, and both these groups of risks are microeconomic and macroeconomic. A multitude types of investment risks and their globalization make it difficult to identify all their sources and their assessment, which makes the decision about investing not an easy task. Additionally, a number of important determinants of management is difficult to calculate or irrational, which further complicates the decision-making process.

The subject of this article is a case study based on analysis of Sofia Dubnow-Erlich’s autobiography fragments concerning the interwar period. A closer look at the autobiographical texts written by the activist and writer associated with the Bund allows to trace her approach to her own life plans. It also gives a broader look at the Jewish history of activism, and intellectual and political activity in the Second Polish Republic. Reading the memoirs allows us to capture the gender perspective and shows whether and to what extent the gender influenced the actions taken by the author.

Tematem artykułu jest studium przypadku – analiza fragmentów autobiografii Sofii Dubnow-Erlich dotyczących okresu międzywojennego. Bliższe spojrzenie na teksty autobiograficzne autorstwa związanej z Bundem aktywistki i literatki umożliwia prześledzenie jej podejścia do własnych planów życiowych, a także szerszy ogląd żydowskiej historii aktywizmu, działalności intelektualnej i politycznej w II Rzeczypospolitej. Lektura wspomnień pozwala również uchwycić perspektywę genderową i pokazać, czy i w jakim stopniu płeć kulturowa wpływała na podejmowane przez autorkę działania.

The Arab Spring has opened new channels for expressing political demands. Under the liberal guise covered by the international media, a number of political struggles of different citizens groups are hidden. Womens groups are often one set of main actors that remain backstage. The subject of my research concerns new grassroots groups, which started their own struggle during the mass protests in Amman. They are the Jordanian mothers struggling for equality in citizenship law. Motherhood is an inspiration for their political activity, which challenges authoritarian government and exclusion politics. It allows women to enter public areas reserved for men and transform the political domain.

Wspólnym mianownikiem łączącym Polskę, Rosję i Turcję jest powszechna świadomość szkodliwości zarówno alkoholu jak i tytoniu. Celem niniejszej pracy jest sprawdzenie czy świadomość ta przekłada się również na podobne rozwiązania prawne zastosowane w tym zakresie. Poza rozważaniami dotyczącymi prawodawstwa podjęta zostanie również próba znalezienia możliwych przyczyn różnego podejścia do stosowania omawianych przepisów prawa w każdym z trzech analizowanych krajów. Artykuł został podzielony na trzy zasadnicze części. W pierwszej zostały omówione społeczne i prawne aspekty palenia tytoniu i spożywania alkoholu w Polsce. W drugiej części opisane zostały przepisy prawa tureckiego i rosyjskiego w powyższym zakresie. Następnie dokonane zostało porównanie rozwiązań prawnych wszystkich trzech omawianych krajów. Ostatnia część poświęcona została kwestii zróżnicowania w zakresie skuteczności zastosowanych przepisów.

The widespread awareness of harmful effects of alcohol and tobacco consumption may be a common denominator for Poland, Russia and Turkey. The aim of the paper is to check whether this awareness is then translated into similar legal solutions. The authors reflect upon the legislation itself, and next venture to identify some possible causes for differences in approach to the said legislation in every of the three countries. The article is divided into three main parts. The first part discusses social and legal aspects of tobacco and alcohol consumption in Poland. Next, relevant Turkish and Russian legislation is described, and the comparison of legal solutions, as adopted by the three countries, is made. Finally, the authors discuss differences in the effective enforcement of the said legislation.

Research background: In existing studies two main channels of international technology spillovers are extensively discussed - trade and FDI. Nevertheless empirical studies give mixed results regards the nature and extent of trade and FDI spillovers. Purpose of the article: The aim of the article is to study import and foreign direct investments (FDI) as channels of international TFP spillovers. Methods: We employ dynamic spatial autoregression (SAR) methods. Our panel comprises data for 41 developed and upper mid-developed countries over the period 1995-2014. Findings & Value added: Our preliminary results show that (1) the trade and investment channels are both important for technology transfer, (2) the degree of their significance depends on the absorptive capacity such as good quality of the institutions.
