Motivation and its impact on the quality of work of nurses in hospital departments in a public health care facility - this is an important topic, as a huge problem of Polish nursing is currently disturbingly low human resources due to the lack of interest in this profession. What is motivation, what is the impact on nurses and organization, and what is the position of the nursing staff and the public hospital in the healthcare system, are the questions that can be answered in this article. The conducted analysis made it possible to define the professional expectations of nurses and allowed for a broader look at the studied issues. It has been shown that in order for the motivation system to be effective and to have an impact on the high quality of work, it does not have to be perfect, but above all tailored to the needs of employees.

Motywacja i jej wpływ na jakość pracy pielęgniarek na oddziałach szpitalnych w publicznej placówce służby zdrowia – to temat ważny, gdyż ogromnym problemem polskiego pielęgniarstwa obecnie są niepokojąco niskie zasoby kadrowe z powodu braku zainteresowania tym zawodem. Czym jest motywacja, jaki ma wpływ na pielęgniarki i organizację oraz jakie miejsce jest kadr pielęgniarskich oraz publicznego szpitala w systemie opieki zdrowotnej, to pytania, na które można znaleźć odpowiedź w artykule. Przeprowadzona analiza pozwoliła na określenie oczekiwań zawodowych pielęgniarek i umożliwiła szersze spojrzenie na badaną problematykę. Pokazano, że aby system motywacji był skuteczny i miał wpływ na wysoką jakość pracy – nie musi być idealny ale przede wszystkim dopasowany do potrzeb pracowników.
