The article concerns the represenation of exclusion and marginalization in the works by Eugeniusz Tkaczyszyn-Dycki. The poems show the interaction of autobiographical references with the author’s own reflections upon poetic artistry and the ways of representing otherness. Also Tkaczyszyn-Dycki’s close relationship with his mother becomes a constituting element which forms the myth of his poetic identity.

The article presents the critical reading of Anita Jarzyna’s Imaginauci. Pismo wyobraźni w poezji Bolesława Leśmiana, Józefa Czechowicza, Krzysztofa Kamila Baczyńskiego, Tadeusza Nowaka, the book devoted to the poets who share the belief in the creative power of words. Jarzyna uses the concept of the religious text to introduce the notion of the text of imagination. It allows her to treat imagination as an interpretative category and poetic theme. The author of the review sees Jarzyna’s book as an invaluable insight into each poet’s works but also as a unique “textual” treatment of imagination. At the same time the article opens the discussion about metaphorizing and creating of critical literary discourse.

The article concentrates on the existential-phenomenological reading of Eugeniusz Tkaczyszyn-Dycki’s poetry as it was proposed by Grzegorz Tomicki in his work "Po obu stronach lustra. O poezji Eugeniusza Tkaczyszyna-Dyckiego". It concentrates on showing the tension between creation and authenticity in Eugeniusz Tkaczyszyn-Dycki’s poetry and on the resulting difficulty in using traditional concepts of author and of lyrical ‘I’.

This article utilizes a map as an interpretative tool for Eugeniusz Tkaczyszyn-Dycki poetry. His works are interpreted through his biography and through geographic locations in Lubaczów region. His poetry further becomes a register of the space experienced by the poet.
