This article discusses three fantasias on national themes: Pot-pourris in C major, Op. 10 and in B flat major, Op. 11 by A.F. Duranowski, and the Pot-pourri in B flat major, Op. 12 by F. Lessel. Analysis reveals the affinities between the works in terms of thematic material, formal structure and distinctive composition techniques. Historical and analytical evidence forms the basis for an hypothesis about the chronology of these compositions. The study draws on Czerny’s theoretical approaches to the fantasia. Additionally, the paper examines the transformation of concert life in Warsaw and Europe at the beginning of the nineteenth century.

Artykuł poświęcony jest trzem fantazjom na tematy narodowe: Pot-pourris C-dur op. 10 i B-dur op. 11 A.F. Duranowskiego oraz Pot-pourri B-dur op. 12 F. Lessla. W toku analizy wykazano pokrewieństwo dzieł obu twórców w zakresie doboru materiału tematycznego, schematu formalnego i charakterystycznych rozwiązań kompozytorskich. Zebrane przesłanki historyczno-analityczne pozwoliły wysnuć hipotezę na temat chronologii powstania utworów. W badaniu skorzystano z teoretycznych ujęć fantazji C. Czernego. Zarysowano też kontekst przemian warszawskiego i europejskiego życia koncertowego początku XIX wieku.
