Opracowanie stanowi analizę literatury przedmiotu w obszarze aspektów kształtowania tożsamości młodego człowieka na rynku pracy. Przedmiotem refleksji jest aktywność zawodowa młodzieży w procesie tranzycji, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem dynamiki i kierunków zmian na rynku pracy. Jak podkreślają autorzy raportu Foundation Findings: Youth and work, współcześnie należy położyć duży nacisk na pomoc młodzieży w procesie przechodzenia z edukacji na rynek pracy. Ważne wydaje się w tym procesie podejmowanie działań w zakresie ukształtowania jednostki gotowej do przejścia z edukacji na rynek pracy.

The study is an analysis of the literature on the subject in the field of aspects of shaping the identity of a young person on the labour market. The subject of reflection is the professional activity of young people in the transition process, with particular emphasis on the dynamics and directions of changes on the labour market. As the authors of the Foundation Findings: Youth and work report emphasize, nowadays, great emphasis should be placed on helping young people transition from education to the labour market. In this process, it seems important to take actions to shape the individual ready to move from education to the labour market.

Process of entering to the contemporary labour market requires adequate preparation. The efficient functioning in this complex system requires, first and foremost, changes in thinking about the safety of employment. Moreover, it requires the attitude to work connected with permanent aquisition of new skills characterizing the individuality of employee in a given area of occupational activity. The ever-changing labour market forcing the constantly improvement, preferably in different areas at the same time. It requires flexibility, mobility and creativity. Employee must accept these changes and challenges and try to meet the demands of employers. The paper outlines the contemporary realities of preparation for entering the labour market and the possibilities of functioning on it.

Współczesny rynek pracy to obszar wymagający odpowiedniego przygotowania. Sprawne funkcjonowanie jednostki w tym złożonym systemie wymaga przede wszystkim zmiany myślenia o bezpieczeństwie zatrudnienia oraz nastawienia na pracę jako obszaru permanentnego zdobywania nowych umiejętności charakteryzujących indywidualność jednostki w danym obszarze funkcjonowania zawodowego. Zmieniający się wciąż rynek pracy w pewien sposób wymusza, stałe doskonalenie się, najlepiej w różnych dziedzinach jednocześnie. Wymaga elastyczności, mobilności i kreatywności. Jednostka musi się z tym pogodzić i starać się sprostać wymaganiom dzisiejszych pracodawców. W opracowaniu zarysowano współczesne realia przygotowania do wejścia na rynek pracy oraz możliwości funkcjonowania na nim.

Constructing own professional career by students of pedagogy

The article presented here consists of a typical triad for research report works. The first partpresents a theoretical approach to career construction. In this respect, it was based onM.L. Savickas’ constructionist theory. The second part of the article describes the methodology ofthe own research undertaken, the subject of which was the construction of careers by studentsof pedagogy. The aim of the research was to get to know the views of pedagogy students on theissue of constructing their own professional career. The research procedure was supposed to answer the question of completion: what are the views on the construction of one’s own professional career presented by students of pedagogy? The answer to the adopted research problemwas searched by the form of qualitative content analysis, for which a proprietary research toolwas constructed. The research was embedded in the paradigm of pragmatism, which puts emphasis primarily on the practical effectiveness of problem solving. For this reason, it was decided thatthe most rational methodological solution for the given research problem would be the adoptionof a qualitative strategy. The last part of the article contains the results of the author’s own research, which, among other things, shows that some students of pedagogy combined their professional career with the work of a teacher/pedagogue.

Prezentowany artykuł składa się z typowej triady dla artykułów zawierających raport z badań. W części pierwszej przedstawiono teoretyczne podejście do konstruowania kariery zawodowej. W tym względzie bazowano na torii konstrukcji M. L. Savickas’a. Druga część artykułu opisuje metodologię podjętych badań własnych, których przedmiotem było konstruowanie kariery zawodowej przez studentów pedagogiki. Z kolei celem badań uczyniono poznaniu poglądów studentów pedagogiki wokół kwestii konstruowania kariery zawodowej. Postępowanie badawcze miało dać odpowiedź na pytanie: jakie podejście do konstruowania własnej kariery zawodowej prezentują studenci pedagogiki? Odpowiedzi na przyjęty problem badawczy dostarczyła metoda w postaci jakościowej analizy treści, do której skonstruowano autorskie narzędzie badawcze. Badania zostały osadzone w nurcie metodologii jakościowej, utożsamianej z paradygmatem interpretatywnym. Ostatnia część artykułu zawiera wyniki badań własnych, z których, m.in. wynika, że niektórzy studenci pedagogiki łączyli swoją karierę zawodową z pracą nauczyciela/pedagoga.

The study is a characteristic of generation Y, which is a heterogeneous group, as it includes teenagers, youth, students, young people entering the labour market and starting families. This diversity causes difficulties in determining their clear determinants in terms of functioning on the labour market. The approach to work of a selected group of representatives of generation Y in the context of voluntary activity, which is the basis and a determinant of professional preparation, was presented. An attempt at this characterization was made based on an analysis of the literature on the subject and available reports.

Opracowanie jest charakterystyką pokolenia Y, które stanowi grupę niejednorodną, gdyż obejmuje zarówno nastolatków, młodzież, studentów, jak i młode osoby wchodzące na rynek pracy i zakładające rodziny. To zróżnicowanie powoduje trudności w określeniu ich jednoznacznych determinantów w zakresie funkcjonowania na rynku pracy. Przedstawiono podejście do pracy wybranej grupy przedstawicieli pokolenia Y w kontekście aktywności wolontarystycznej, będącej podstawą, a zarazem wyznacznikiem przygotowania zawodowego. Próba owej charakterystyki dokonana została na podstawie analizy literatury przedmiotu, dostępnych raportów.

The publication presents the needs of students in the field of university adaptation. Furthermore, the needs and expectations of teaching and administrative staff regarding educational opportunities for people with disabilities were analysed. The difficulties and needs in the implementation of educational effects, the necessity to adjust work to the specificity of individual disabilities, including persons with the autism spectrum disorders, and the ways of implementing student internship were also taken into consideration.

W publikacji dokonano prezentacji potrzeb studentów w zakresie dostosowania do nich uczelni. Ponadto przeanalizowano potrzeby i oczekiwania pracowników dydaktycznych i administracyjnych odnośnie do możliwości kształcenia osób z niepełnosprawnością. Uwzględniono przy tym trudności w realizacji efektywnego kształcenia, konieczność dostosowania pracy do specyfiki poszczególnych niepełnosprawności, w tym osób ze spektrum autyzmu, a także sposoby realizacji praktyk studenckich.
