Kultura bezpieczeństwa (zwana także kulturą BHP czy bezpieczeństwa pracy) jest elementem kultury organizacyjnej. Tę drugą definiuje się jako zespół norm, wartości i sposobów zachowań personelu. Tymczasem badacze zajmujący się zagadnieniem bezpieczeństwa w pracy zwracają uwagę nie tylko na społeczny, ale też techniczny i organizacyjny wymiar kultury BHP. Żeby osiągnąć pożądany poziom kultury bezpieczeństwa pracy, należy umiejętnie kształtować wskazane wymiary, dbając o ich wzajemne uzupełnianie. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie pojęcia kultury bezpieczeństwa w przedsiębiorstwie i czynników kształtujących ten typ kultury. W części empirycznej artykułu przedstawiono studium przypadku dwóch dużych przedsiębiorstw z branży finansowej, zlokalizowanych w Polsce.

A safety culture (also known as the occupational health and safety culture) is an element of organizational culture. The latter is defined as a set of personnel standards, values, and behaviors. At the same time, researchers concerned with the issue of safety at work pay attention to not only the social, but also technical and organizational dimension of safety culture. In order to achieve the desired level of safety culture it is necessary to skillfully shape the indicated dimensions, ensuring their internal consistency. The aim of the article is to present the concept of safety culture in an enterprise and the factors that shape this type of culture. The empirical section of the article presents the case studies of two large companies in the financial sector located in Poland.
