W perspektywie kilkunastu ostatnich lat wdrażano ICT na wielu płaszczyznach w polskiej oświacie. Procesy cyfryzacji są kolejnym etapem unowocześnienia szkolnych procesów kształcenia. Dla tej publikacji ważniejsze są cienie tychże zmian, niż ich niewątpliwe blaski. Z wielu zagrożeń, które czyhają na drodze do nowoczesnej edukacji, wybrano te, które były już sygnalizowane we wcześniejszych etapach modernizacji. W wybranych aspektach widoczna jest pełna analogia do zjawisk, które miały miejsce w pierwszych etapach wdrażania Internetu do polskich szkół.

In the last several years we implemented ICT in many areas in the Polish education. Digitiza-tion processes are next step in the modernization of school learning processes. For this publication more important are the shadows of these changes, than their undoubted brilliance. Of the many threats, that lurk on the way to modern education, we selected the ones, that had already been signaled in the earlier stages of modernization. In some respects can be seen full analogy to the events that took place in the early stages of implementation of the Internet to Polish schools.

Implementacje technologii informacyjnych w sferę edukacji cechują się od wielu lat wysoką dynamiką wzrostu. Najbardziej intrygującym i nierozpoznanym obecnie zjawiskiem, przenikającym nie tylko edukację, ale wszelkie działania ludzkie jest Big Data. Należy skorzystać z nowych możliwości IT w takim zakresie, aby przyspieszyć rozwój edukacyjnych zastosowań Big Data i ograniczyć wpływ dostrzeganych oraz przyszłych zagrożeń. Podjęto próbę ewaluacji technologii Big Data w obszarze indeksowania, pozyskiwania i dystrybucji informacji w kontekście usieciowionej edukacji.

Implementation of information technologies in the sphere of education are characterized by many years of high growth. The most intriguing and currently unrecognized phenomenon, permeating not only education, but all human activities is Big Data. Should take advantage of new IT capabilities in extent to accelerate the development of educational applications of Big Data and limit the impact of perceived and future threats. An attempt was made evaluation of Big Data technology in the field of indexing, acquisition and distribution of information in the context of networked education.
