Innowacje w lotnictwie inspirowane przez ESG: analiza raportów środowiskowych

The aim of this article is to present the innovative solutions used by selected airlines in connection with the implementation of ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) criteria. In order to achieve this goal, a case study method was used and the analysis was based on the latest environmental reports (current as of 15 July 2024) published by airlines such as Lufthansa, Emirates, Alaska Airlines, easyJet and LOT Polish Airlines. The text focuses on the identification of modern solutions and approaches in the management of environmental, social and corporate governance aspects applied in the aviation sector. The analysis results show that the growing importance of ESG in the industry includes efforts to reduce emissions, use sustainable aviation fuels, manage waste and promote diversity and inclusivity. These initiatives contribute to sustainability by minimizing the negative environmental and social impacts of aviation.

Celem artykułu jest prezentacja innowacyjnych rozwiązań stosowanych przez wybrane linie lotnicze w związku z wdrażaniem kryteriów ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance). Dla realizacji tego celu wykorzystano metodę case study, a podstawą analizy były najnowsze raporty środowiskowe (aktualne na dzień 15 lipca 2024 roku) opublikowane przez takie linie lotnicze, jak Lufthansa, Emirates, Alaska Airlines, easyJet i Polskie Linie Lotnicze LOT. Tekst skupia się na identyfikacji nowoczesnych rozwiązań i podejść w zarządzaniu aspektami środowiskowymi, społecznymi oraz ładem korporacyjnym stosowanych w sektorze lotniczym. Analiza wskazuje, że wzrastające znaczenie ESG w tej branży obejmuje działania na rzecz redukcji emisji, wykorzystania zrównoważonych paliw lotniczych, zarządzania odpadami oraz promowania różnorodności i inkluzywności. Inicjatywy te przyczyniają się do zrównoważonego rozwoju, minimalizując negatywny wpływ lotnictwa na środowisko i społeczeństwo.
